I can see where Norwegian black metal bands get a lot of their inspiration from in the country, I've been there, but most of the people listen to the same stuff that's mainstream/popular in the states. HOWEVER you are more likely to find a black metal album in cd stores there =P I checked out a few stores where most of the music was mainstream rock/pop, and then all of a sudden BAM, black metal section.

First, I'm not a proghead. I'm into a bunch of different styles. Not only metal. Second, DT does have a couple albums that don't really sound forced, their 2-3 first which I think are amazing. The rest however sounds forced most of the time and lacks originality.
