  • i must be deaf or something because i can't really make out what she is saying. can someone post the lyrics?

  • @mega408

I can not read or write in Hmong, so I roughly translate the lyrics into English and post it in the description area. Click "Show More" to see.

The line that she sings "Don't change your lung, your liver" makes sense in Hmong. But to make sense in the English vernacular Ithink it should be "Don't change your heart, your mind".

  • @seize7days ok, after a few days of trying to make it out, I think I got it... good song.

  • these songs sounds familiar. i was born in 83' so it's all a glimpse. they bring back my baby days. :)

  • Remember listened to this song on the way to the Hmong New Year in San Diego (Linda Vista) back in the mid 80's.

  • who is the singer?

  • @yajmy80

The girl's name is Poj Qaib. Her band was Muaj Peev Xwm. They are like in their 40s-50s now.

  • I love her songs. It brings back memories of when I was little.

  • This song brings back memories of the 80s and 90s.. POJ QAIB you are the greatest.. and people on youtube here.. DEJ NAG will NEVER come close to this.. Not dissing DEJ NAG but this is true..

  • @tshavntujtwg ... POJ QAIB is a very talented entertainer. She was one of the first very active female singers in the early to mid 80's and inspired a lot of all-girl bands. I wish Muaj Peev Xwm would re-release these classics so I can own them and listen to them again.

  • @P0Jntxoog It's true what you said.. and I wish Hmong people would stop remake old songs with new singers.. It can't compared with the old singers..,

  • @tshavntujtwg Remake of a old song is good! It's a way for those who appreciate the song to keep it alive and have it in peoples mind. Whether it is better than the original version, that's up to the individual.... I personally like the original. And as long as credit is given the original singer, all is well.

  • @P0Jntxoog I know! put it on iTunes so we can download it. ;)

I know its by these two singers and a piano and bass is played throughout the whole. if you can upload or find more it'll be great. thanks for sharing.
