As long as one person knows it's being recorded? What about all the cameras everywhere that the government uses tyo record us? Public domain, so therefore it should also apply to videotaping the police whether anybody said ok tape me or not.
The police has the power of arrest, detention, or merely public encounter. Yes it is important to know your rights, but what about others and their rights. If you are not guilty then you have nothing to hide, but if you are guilty take ownership in what you have done and accepted the consequences. I have seen cases where people been on video admitted to the charge and had several people observed what happen and still pled not guilty no court, wasting tax dollars and time.
I've *ALWAYS* got something to hide. Doing otherwise is called "Indecent exposure".
What's mine is PRIVATE. I don't want anyone, badge or not, rummaging around in my pockets or my car any more than I would want them fondling my genitals.
If he's got probable cause then he doesen't need my permission.
If he doesn't have probable cause, then he has NO BUSINESS searching me in the first place.
Refusal to consent to a search is NOT an admission of guilt.
You'll notice that cops don't like to be filmed and will attempt despite a lack of legal right, to confiscate cameras. Why is this? If they're not doing anything wrong, they don't have anything to hide, do they?
Doesn't matter. They don't want to be caught potentially making mistakes.
Neither do you. Don't consent to searches, don't talk. If you're innocent, keep it that way.
Its called standardized field sobriety key word standardized researched by doctors and lawyers but I guest that was a human error on you. what about taking ownership in what you do bad or good?
linn705, taking ownership in what you do bad or good is not the issue her. This is simply about explaining what our rights are which is important to balance the power police can have over any citizen.
I don't know who guys are, but thanks for taking the time to do this. Very informative!

==> If you are not guilty then you have nothing to hide
Bullshit.
You, sir, have been brainwashed. Guilty, or not, I have *everything* to hide. It is my right.

I believe people would use this as a tool to hinder the safety of others than a tool of education.
