The only bad thing I can think of about the Avett Brothers is this - they've made some of my favorite music in the world a little more bland. No one can do what they do, which is awesome, I don't want anyone to try honestly. But as soon as I heard them every other artist or band I like got knocked down a level. So, there you go. The only negative thing any sane person could ever say about the Avett Brothers.

the avetts are more like a life experience than just music...to put a title on something so great is like disgracing it....im about 25 minutes north of where they grew up....and no one from this area is seriously considered as Mountain Men...but there style is so much more than just an appalachian based sound...these guys are a movement that everyone should acknowledge....whether they like or dislike it...and as proud fans we shouldnt judge those who dislike it.....just accept their differences
Just to think, the Avetts are from Conchord, which is only two hours away from my hometown. Today's best music is comin' down from the Appalachains...just like it did when Europeans brought secular music and settled the mountains hundreds of years ago.
