  • Nice mosque.....i wish i had one just like that near my house :(

  • tokyo mosque built by Turkish goverment , or am i wrong ?

  • Tokyo Mosque was built by Kazan Tatar emigrants in 1938 and was demolished in 1986. The Mosque was rebuilt by the Turkish Republic Religious Affairs Presidency and Tokyo Mosque Foundation in 2000.

  • Just curious, but do you know how many Kazan Tatars came to Japan, via China, in 1938? My wife's grandparents, mother and aunts were among them.

  • i'm so happy i want to cry *sobbing*

  • May Allah guide these Japanese people into His right path. The Japanese are so wonderful people that sometimes I feel sorry for them that they are not Muslims. May Allah open their hearts into Islam - the true path for success both in Dunya and Akhira.

May Allah keep the people of the good deed from the hellfire. May Allah reward everybody regardless of faith who wish to support tolerance, friendship, understading and peace in this World.

  • amin...

  • i cried watching this just to know that there are muslims in japan is amazing

  • KOP YAHSHI

  • The first mosque in Tokyo was built by Tatar immigrants in 1938. It eventually burned down in 1986 and was rebuilt with the help of the Japanese government. The new mosque opened in 2000.

  • yeh, built by Tatar emigrants but, I think that first mosque built earlier than 1938, about 1917. Kobe mosque is the the second in Japan, after Tokyo.

  • not only this mosque. Kobe mosque also built by tatar emigrants.

  • Kobe mosque is still alive. It is not open to public, but if you say I am Tatar or Turkish, they open the door and welcome you.

  • Kobe is where my wife's family lived during WWII.

Stateless in Japan they were nonetheless given freedom in Japan. After the war they emigrated to Turkey for statehood, and then to the USA from Turkey.
