Smarks are a very minor part of the wrestling audience (10% of all fans).

Great points raised. Cena is a decent wrestler. People bash him because 'he only has five moves'. These are people that support Kane - chokeslam, sideslam, diving clothesline, big boot, throat thrust. That's five. Cena's matches are always of good quality. Kane's are 8/10 times mediocore.

You don't have to like cena as a wrestler, but I think he does deserve respect for going about his business the right way-doing whatever the company asks of him, keeping his nose out of the dirt sheets and calling out fans, and also keeping himself out of trouble. It's just like in sports with certain athletes: you may not like them, or not like the way they play or who they play for, but you can respect them for what they bring to the table.

Well I would suggest as a wwe fan tuning back into smackdown, because smackdown has been pretty decent week to week lately. There will be guys you like or dislike on any wrestling show, that is the nature of the business, but I do not think you can say a show is not viewable simply because of one person, and remember: smackdown is taped, so you can choose what matches to watch, and what parts of the show you would rather not view.
uh, i tried watching the show after the draft and last week's. the only parts are liked were triple h's promo, edge and foley's promo and the raw rebounds. and i dont read spoilers anyway.

In this day and age a mark is a person that knows that pro wrestling is scripted but still allows himself to be drawn into the product, enjoying it as entertainment like a movie or TV show.

"smart" fans exist everywhere. whether it be wrestling or movies or anime or books. there's always those that think critiquing the successful/mainstream would automatically put them above those who like it. or sometimes they're frustrated that the successful/mainstream thing is doing better than something they support. these are the main two reasons that apply to ANY "smart" fan.

At least casual fans admit they know nothing of the inner workings of wrestling and they do not care, but smart marks pretend they know everything when they really know nothing. Smarks read these dirt sheets and web sites that tell lies and half truths written by people who were never even wrestlers and they think they know everything. Smarks are a very minor part of the wrestling audience (10% of all fans).

Ok..wow.... When Hulk Hogan was doing his thing he actually put the heel over. Now , we have Cena , he barely sells in the ring , when he does he pops up out of nowhere. There is no fight to get his strength back , It's bad storytelling.

With Cena, they tried to recreate Hulk Hogan with the ultra positive, working class guy who goes out and dominates his opponents. In this day and age though you're right, people don't have respect for long title reigns and guys who are consistently booked to win. Great points raised. Cena is a decent wrestler. People bash him because 'he only has five moves'. These are people that support Kane - chokeslam, sideslam, diving clothesline, big boot, throat thrust. That's five. Cena's matches are always of good quality. Kane's are 8/10 times mediocore.

You don't have to like cena as a wrestler, but I think he does deserve respect for going about his business the right way-doing whatever the company asks of him, keeping his nose out of the dirt sheets and calling out fans, and also keeping himself out of trouble. It's just like in sports with certain athletes: you may not like them, or not like the way they play or who they play for, but you can respect them for what they bring to the table.

yes thank you Cena is just as good as rock and Stonecold better than stonecold infact and rock was quicker but not as strong as Cena is but They were shown in a differnt light Stonecold was supposed to be bad ass and he was Rock was supposed to appeal be the peoples wrestler and he was Cena is supposed to be both and its just not working and if you noticed it was right up until the ECW storyline thats when a few fans started to say HEY Cenas not that cool and everyone jumped on the band wagon

okay, first of all; a heel's job is getting heat. BUT, not to the point where they really make fans go away. like vickie guerrero..come on, i stopped watching smackdown cuz of her ass a long time ago. now, pretty much everyone i know stopped cuz of the same reason. thats not heel heat, thats ANNOYANCE.

Well I would suggest as a wwe fan tuning back into smackdown, because smackdown has been pretty decent week to week lately. There will be guys you like or dislike on any wrestling show, that is the nature of the business, but I do not think you can say a show is not viewable simply because of one person, and remember: smackdown is taped, so you can choose what matches to watch, and what parts of the show you would rather not view.

uh, i tried watching the show after the draft and last week's. the only parts are liked were triple h's promo, edge and foley's promo and the raw rebounds. and i dont read spoilers anyway.
also, one person is more than enough. most people watch for the main event...which has vickie freakin glued to it. and seriously, i think you people who say she's a good heel need a break from life. like i said before, and pspower added; there's a difference between heel heat and GTFO off my tv heat.

I know I like to be entertained :) if I see a match I dont like, I just forget about it and remember the stuff I DID like, nothings perfect :) and I think if some people want to keep bashing wrestling?? they should just give up watching it and play gold or something :) and they should remember that being a wrestler is a busy job! all that travelling, promos, extra shows!! etc. they need to tone down abit here and there or they would end up in a wheel chair fast!!

There is no way that "Smarks" will know about the whole wrestling world. I don't know much about Indy stuff, but watching WWE and TNA I would consider myself a smark. I feel that most other people that take wrestling way to seriously are just stupid. The most recent thing I see that I don't like that WWE did was have JBL win the match tonight on Raw, but I see why they did it.
The contrast of style will make a rather good match. The smash mouth vs fast speed is a classic match up.

First of all, 90% of all the people who "hate" John Cena does not hate him at all. They hate the presentation of him - the character you could say. For me there is a clear difference. There's a reason for why people liked him in the beginning, but not later on.

Mike makes a lot of sense. Its like when I go to a ROH show. Most fans will hate on Nigel Mcguinness just because he is a "heel", or because he's from the "UK". This does not barther me. The man gets in the ring, does phenominal wrestling, and never cheats to get the pin. SO as long as the man shows of his skills and proves himself, theres no reason to hate.

i agree with ur vid man, but i dont like hhh as much as i used too because i personally liked him as a heel the most... plus he does push bak alot of great wrestlers in order to stay on top. i think cena isnt too bad, i just got annoyed wen he wouldnt drop the title, but apperently that was vinces idea :/
