there is no such thing as an RB30, thats just an RB26 with a stroker kit, and as for the 1JZ-GTE is an inline 6 cylinder engine, that came in the JZA70 toyota supra, before it was dropped for the more powerful 2JZ-GTE which was enlarged from 2.5 litres to 3.0 litres.

RB30 is a basically a RB30 Bottom end with a RB25 or RB26 Head .. its a hybrid type of engine.. with a few internal mods i seen a few R32's with those engines in Australia at a car show.. and yes i know that the 1JZ-GTE is from the JZA70 MK3 SUPRA because i have that in same engine my 90 supra now

Yeah I was looking for this video to correct myself. I got the wrong information and looked it up myself to come back and correct myself, but the damage is already done I suppose. These engines are a 2jz, however people still swap in a 2jzte (or whatever it is called, I know the T is added for turbo) as these engines are not turbo charged and at best can add a single, vs swapping in the twin turbo, as you cannot add twin turbo yourself. So I hear.

this car does seem to have a two step, but also an anti lag system. a two step is just a second rev limiter, which you set at the appropriate launch RPM, regardless of your car being turbo or not. an anti lag system uses a bypass valve in the manifold and richens up the mixture which causes the flames you're seeing. yes a two step can and will make your car shoot flames and bakcfire, but not really to the extent you see here.

backfire is when the engine pops over backwards and ignites the gas in the intake. What you hear in that video is a 2 step rev limiter. Its so you can launch at full throttle at a certain RPM, like 3000, but still have the gas down all the way. Its not for anti-lag like people think, NA guys use them too.
