@Idunn0ya 1 it can strike that long, 2 it did make a massive bang ( its obviously not a 2000 dollar camera so the sound can't be that good, 3 do tell where, and 4 it doesn't always have to hit on high spots, thunder above see doesn't hit trees or twigs, the sand lies higher then the sea so maybe that's why it just hits the sand..

@KaleScott1 they are called fulgurites, when the 55,000 (F) degree lightning bolt hits the sand, it melts the sand into a liquid for a second then it hardens into glass.
