  • @averbakh01 Trophy detects, tracks and CLASSIFIES.

Probably means that it can distinguish between a decoy and a threat.

  • this is actually old Russians used to have the same system in 70s

  • @MyTutorialFilms The Russian system only defended the front 70 degrees of the tank, and it often injured or killed any soldiers around it when it was activated. Trophy is much more accurate, and can provide protection all around the tank, even against rockets or missiles coming from the top.

  • @anonimystro12345 russians just use high-tech ERA against rpg

  • @IWANAROCKYEEEAAAA No the russians also use the arena active protection system on alot of their vehicles. Arena is just as capable as trophy

  • @thebaskill u missunderstood or maybe i didnt write it clearly,mi point is that even if it only protects 70 degress ERA can stop anything that gets trought even the latest rpg.

  • @IWANAROCKYEEEAAAA no baby arena-e stpo spg-9 and tow

  • @IWANAROCKYEEEAAAA and

    i dont see trophy

    stop rpg-28 125mm

    rpg-30

    rpg-32

    in 20m ambush

  • wow! they've finally copied the soviet DROZD system from late 70-s!

    great success!

  • @petunized

thats what america is all about

    Stole scram from the brits

    stole stealth tech from Russia

    stole nukes from Germany and

stealing oil and resources world wide

    WELCOME TO AMERICA!!!

  • @y512516

Yes, because when one nation has tech, they should be the only ones to benefit from the advancement. If France suddenly developed a cure for cancer or a perfect space-traveling vehicle, France should be the only ones to ever have that ever. Yes?

  • @TabsBlogs

no, I mean america should have PAID for the tech

instead of business espionage and bribing

  • @y512516

What's to say that their scientists aren't just observing this new unveiled military technology and just figure out a way to do it themselves? Regardless, war technology is not something nations usually obtain through reputable means. Not a damn country on the planet hasn't pulled some dirty underhanded trick to gain the advantage. Idealism is ideal, but that's it. It stops just short of "real."

  • I need one of these on my camaro. My ex threw a brick through my window.

  • @blaknite1 i believe this system can't help you with ex rage

  • need to install one of these to the M1a3 abrams

  • I need this in BF3 :P

  • now if we can just stop the IED's

  • yes but system save only or simple rpg-7

    rpg-32 18 22 28 30 (7 with pg7-vr ammo) metis-m and

KORNET no destruct for this system

    same with rpg-30

  • @TATARSTAN59500

This baby was designed against metisest and kornets as an lesson of practical expirience in Lebanon.

  • hezbollah pactitly no use Kornet

use many rpg-29 and traditional 7

and kornet have thermobaric cherge any resist of this

  • @TATARSTAN59500

Kornets were used in 2006 in Lebanon, this is well documented. And an active protection system doesn't regard what kind of charge the missle has, because it's irelevant since the system intercepts in in flight.

  • @kushalaimashkha haha impossible but kornet no stop for system

  • @TATARSTAN59500 merkava have good armor but engine is in front so crew have 2 meters armor !

    but behind is very frail

  • kornet is no peturbed by this system and fire and is more faster than classic rpg-7 ammo

kornet peircing system tow too only small charge has been destructed by trophy

  • @kushalaimashkha and only 2 merkava destruct is impossible have many pictures of merkava completly destruc or quasily its zionist propaganda

  • Comment removed

  • @TATARSTAN59500

Hizbollah fired altogether 500 ATGMs, some targeted infantry & buildings while others targeted armour. 51 IDF armour(merkavas II,III,IV) was hit while 24 pieces were penetrated causing 23 casualties R.I.P. Only 5 tundem charged ATGMs, which I would assume to be kornets, hit their targets killing 10 soldiers R.I.P.

  • @TATARSTAN59500

The 2 tanks you are refering to as being "destroyed" are tanks that were hit but couldn't be fixed. These tanks were hit by roadside bombs.

  • @kushalaimashkha haha and 40 completly disabled

and 2 only its impossible hezbollah use rpg-29 kornet and Tow

    so tank is invincible !!!

trophy stop basics small rocket ONLY RPG-7 small charge pg7-vl

    with kornet or tow heuuuuuu

  • and i see rpg-30 completly defeat system but have ir rocket

trophy is good only for terrosrist attack he no stop bullet

t-90sa scrambler no cover 360 degres but stop laser guided weapon but have very powerful laser

    and destroy completly missile intelligent

exemple javelin is automatic but manual guided

tow and kornet have 100 pourcent shot target

  • @TATARSTAN59500

Sorry, I didn't understand much of your comment. But i do know that Trophy is designed to coup with hash rounds and kinetic energy rounds wich are conventional warfare armament.

Listen on the 31st i'm going to see an armour display, and perheps we'll be shown the Trophy system so I'll know more than.

btw you can write in your native tounge i'll understand.

  • @kushalaimashkha hmmmm only 2 destruct who i not 0

  • @kushalaimashkha dude tatarstan59500 cannot understand english

  • actually it depends on the speed. if the rock is travellig at mach 1 or more it will shoot it down.

  • @mamertomiclat06 so all you gotta do is get up close and toss some armor piercing hand grenades

  • I wonder what happens when you throw a rock at it...

  • @truongkahp nothing

  • @truongkahp

Too slow to start the tracking system

  • but 99% of RPGs are not RPG-30's so these types of anti-rocket will save lives

  • On 12 November 2009, Ph.D. Vladimir Korenkov, who led Russian state unitary enterprise “Basalt” from 2000 to 2009, stated that “The Israeli system of active protection of tanks, “Trophy”, as any other similar systems, can be evaded”. One of the activities of this enterprise was to develop rocket-propelled grenades, designed to destroy modern armament.

  • The rocket-propelled grenade RPG-30, according to Vladimir Korenkov, is designed to overcome these tank defense systems. "All the existing active protection systems in the world share the same idea. This is a radar homing at some distance, close or far, to destroy the target with a warhead that creates fragment stream and explosive field. These systems have common flaws. First of all, the duty cycle, i.e. the time interval of the system response to the threat.

  • RPG-30 easily defeats such a protection system. There is a smaller diameter precursor round in addition to the main round. This precursor acts as a false target spoofing the APS into engaging it and allowing the main round (following the precursor after a slight delay) a clear path to the target, while the APS is stuck in the 0.2 - 0.4 second delay needed to start its next engagement. This time interval is sufficient for defeating the Israeli system."

  • @gatorade420

Unless they add 2 or more systems per side, and have them engage sequential targets, but as it sits, a single spoof would be enough to bypass the protection offered.

  • @vstom007 the rpg-30 is made to take out reactive and cage armour. you fail

  • 戦車最強

  • Mess with the best, and you die like the rest.

  • Designed to protect against cowardly muslim hit and run attacks

  • @GeorgeHB05

Yer then what does americans do in the air of Afghanistan

  • No matter what, the jew bag always loses

  • The RPG 29 and 32 can defeat trophy.

  • @LevTrotsky1917 No it can't.

  • @LevTrotsky1917

    LOL no it cant.

  • TROPHY maybe are not so good, because in the video it is on merkava 2-3, and i know that merkava 4 with good protection was got knocked out by kornete-e

  • @Russia1117 trophy was never installed in merkava 2-3, and in lebanon 2 trophy wasnt operational. merkava 4 was never destroyed, only damaged abit, merkava 2-3 were hit badly in that war. in 2010 an rpg was fired upon merkava 4 in gaza strip and the system trophy destroyed it, sence then trophy prevented 9 hits allready 100% succes rate.

  • you can switch it on super sensitive for anoying children: then if a child throws a stone on your car it gets blown up

  • ...why are there so many dislikes?

  • @MrPizzapoika

the terrorists are mad that their crap rockets have even less of a chance to hit now.

  • @MrPizzapoika cus its done by israel :D no matter what the video will be about, if its related to some thing positive israel done, it will get dislikes by people who are so bored they are looking for these videos to dislike them

  • did anybody notice that there was no information on how it works?

  • 車両版CIWSか

  • 常に戦闘状態にあるからこういったシステム開発も最先端だな。

    流石イスラエル軍、と言ったところか。

  • Was expecting OCP's ED-209 to appear after that TROPHY text sweep.

  • made in russia!

    yep russia for ever

  • @stykan This is the Israeli version. Got better scores then the Arena, 30/30.

  • @stykan Even good Vodka is not from Russia

  • Made in Russia and name is Arena...

  • @Stepler666 Made in Israel name Trophy, idiot.

  • I just question how its able to take out an rpg without seriously harming a soldier next to the vehicle.

  • @canadaisthenorth i suppose it just takes out the fuel/proppelant unit of the incoming missile, instead of actually detonating the missile before impact.

  • @canadaisthenorth, would you rather the RPG is NOT stopped? This isn't promising to make your Army invincible, it's just reducing the damage, drastically.

  • so Ive been looking online, and couldnt seem to find much information on whether the US is investing in one of these several protection systems so if someone would enlighten me on the subject I would appreciate it.

  • @stlcards32, Apparently it is being used by the US army, since 2005.

  • Sergent: Shit. Soldiers time go to back to the basic.

Soldiers: What are the basics and can it do it?

Sergent: TNT or several C4 should do the job.

Soldiers: How we gonna used it to get the armor?

    Sergent: Run of course.

Soldiers: What?! What about its machine guns and infantry escorts?

Sergent: Do not think about them. Act like your life depend on it.

Soldiers: Our lives do depend on it.

Sergent: Shit, wussies, I will do it.

  • Cool, going to order one! It's on sale on ebay.

  • Arena is still the best

  • 21 terrorists dislike this amazing product......

    Go fuck yourself....

CHAI CHAI CHAI AM ISRAEL CHAI 4 EVER

  • dont vory russians will modern the rpg's and it will fuck this shit

  • 1:47 rofl.

  • what a rip off of soviet late 80's technology...

  • Comment removed

  • That the trophy active anti-rpg system can shoot down rocket propelled grenades is no suprise to me. Whether or not it would be able to shoot down larger, faster missiles like a javelin or tow remains to be seen.

  • I prefer Raytheon's QuickKill., and so does the US Army, it seems.

  • @SecuR0M Except that Raytheon still hasn't gotten Quick Kill to work, and there is concern that it cannot be used with lighter armored vehicles. We could be protecting our soldiers with Trophy today.

  • did anyone see that dumbass shot an RPG from the hip no wonder so many civilians are dying

  • we will see when the next war start loooooool :D

  • It, not that hard for a Muslim to understand. Allah will keep a Muslim down to the ground. If ever Iwere an Americajn, obamama Do downtown Chichigo. So let's have a nice dinner

  • isn't it just a preemptive explosive reactive armour? we've had ERA for a while and that has it's own drawbacks, does this overcome them?

  • Well maybe in a 100 years Gundams will be a reality.

  • @yairbe5 the speeds involved compared with ground fighting are too high, and other methods of missile jamming are more effective.

  • i would love to see achmed's face when he fires his trusty RPG-7 at an infidel's tank just to see his rocket swatted out the sky like a bug.

i wonder if you could use this thing on static objects like buildings and render mortar fire obselete.

  • @airsoftmanic I bet, but the range of the rocket-fuck field would have to be way bigger than it is for a vehicle right, and even then it might only cover the top of a building

  • @gofojibwas

i think i might just be a case of making the radar detection larger and the interception object (is it a bullet? rocket? no idea) a bit longer ranged.

and from what i can see, each of those little boxes is a self contained unit so just cover the building in it. would cost a bomb, but hey, you want to be safe and poor or dead and rich?

  • This is awesome. imagine all the lives we could save if we deployed these

  • This would have come handy in Iraq, I don't know why the US decided not to invest in that project.

  • lolwut does this work when the vehicles driving?

    elsewhise its shit

  • Didn't you pay attention to the video. They said it work while the vehicle moves.

  • syry i was jckn'

  • does the US use Trophy?

  • no trophy was offerd to the US army but they wanted to but an american system wont be ready for years also when a spiceal commition looked in to it the found that even when the american system will be ready the israeli system will still be far better

  • mmm for the moment is just a propaganda video, when i will see this stuff on action well, something will drastically change on the battlefield.

  • the system is in service its on 100 kerkava mk.4 tanks and is now beeing installed on 100 namer APC's

  • merkava*

  • could this system work on aircraft to or not?

  • No it would not work on aircraft. Anti-aircraft weapons are far more sophisticated then the common home made rpg.

  • lol why wouldnt it work on aircraft?

  • Trophy the best for us IDF no question about it. Esyst squirrels mst squruiirkkl! QfuckBonnieMirl Sandi Los Alamsos!

  • anyone know that vid with systme like this but futureweapons?

  • Non of them matter if the tank rolls over an IED buried in the street. So fuck all these systems. slat cages & reactive armor seem to work fine for Strikers. Can either system stop an EFP? I doubt it since I've seen those cut through M-1's like a hot knife through butter. And I mean all the way in & out the other side.

  • hazonku- Indeed IED's are a major problem, but that is not the reason trophy was designed. Slat cages and reactive armor add additional weight and dimensions to an armored vehicle limiting its mobility, transportability, and overall combat effectiveness. As for EFP's look up electric or electromagnetic reactive armor, it is specifically designed to defeat them.

  • besides you said arena is useless? WTF??? my money that you never even seen those 2 systems operate, that is just plain assumption from few youtube videos. as i can see, arena can blast away big tank rounds with its big blast , vs trophy shooting out a small blast, on things like prgs only.

other let down of trophy other than its small blast is its price, which no country is using it yet. arena is in ACTIVE service.

  • Of course I've never seen it in action! How the fuck would I see it in action?!

The reason I'm saying it's useless is because despite being over 15 years old, it's employment is so limited it's not even worth mentioning.

Also, did you just say that the small blast radius of the Trophy's interceptor is a "let down"?

    WTF is wrong with you?!

It doesn't take a big blast to disable a shell, no matter how big it is!

Or do you really suppose that reduced collateral damage is actually a SHORTCOMING?

  • Israel is starting to use Trophy, and it can stop tank rounds.

  • you heard of russian APS right? made over 30 years ago.

  • Yes i did. how is that relevant to this convo at all?

  • I want to see where israeli forces use aps.

  • They do, and it the safest apc in the world. They are old t-55 and t-72 tank hulls from the tankes they captured during all their wars. now they are makin new versions of that apc out of Merkava hull material, safer. they pretty much ripped the turret off the t-55s and t-72s, and put some gear in em, and changed the armour around a bit.

  • no no give me a legit source saying israeli tanks are equipped with this. Because from my knowlege trophy is still under development and costs are very high.

  • They used em in Gaza.

    Legit Source:

    My Cousin, who's a gunner in a MK4.

  • You can think what you want about the policies of Israel and all that crap... ... but their military hardware WORKS! ..

  • Russian sistems!!

  • They ripped it off russian ARENA

  • Based on what, exactly?

  • russian arena came out in the 1980s

this came out few years ago

    rip off?- yes it is.

that is to say israel is 70% filled with russians tracing back from ussr

so many developers in israel that made this is russian inventors

but usa will take the credit .

  • Your method of analysis is flawed in it's core - just because two systems are designed to do the same job doesn't mean theyre somehow related.

If you wanna find out if those systems are related, you examine their methods of operation and the principals on which those are based - and if you'll look at the Arena and at Trophy closely, you'll find out that they have absolutely nothing in common.

Besides, the Russian system is useless, so even if you're right, the Israeli one is still far superior

  • "Besides, the Russian system is useless"

too much pot my friend. probably you dont even know what this Arena is. Far superior? where is the proof? russians owned a better design 25 years ago.

you said look closely- its is the same principal from russia 30 years ago- a sensitive camera picks up motion from incoming round, and quickly reacts by shooting out a charge with loads of sharpnel at the target, and destroying it.

so learn the facts first b4 you make yourself look dumb.

  • Dear fucking god are you stupid!

    1) Neither of the systems uses a goddamn camera to identify threats, you motherfucking retard - they use a radar!

The difference is that the systems use different KINDS of radars, operating at different frequencies.

    2) Arena uses a fucking sheet-shaped explosive explosive charge to create a bloody wall of frag that rips through both hostile projectiles and friendly infantry alike.

Trophy uses a shotgun-like slug launcher to avoid such effects...

  • The main rip off is the function, which is the same. Trophy just shoots out a way smaller

Blast than arena (might not ensure the destruction of the incoming rounds) where arenas big blast would./ but the function is almost exact. With that blast trophy could also injure its own troops, but less then arena.

Rip off is different from cloning, so get your facts straight and stop putting words in my mouth.

Trophy just stole the functioning, which is most important.

  • Dude, cloning, rippoff - you're juggling with words!

It doesn't mater what meaning you put in the terms you use - what's important is that you suggest that system is copying the other, which requires proof.

So what proof do you got so far - that they do the same job?

I'm sorry, but that's just like saying that modern assault rifles rip off rifled flint-lock muskets - because, hey, they do the same goddamn thing, right?

Doesn't matter that their methods of operation are COMPLETELY different!

  • Who looks dumb now, huh, retard?

You obviously don't know flying fuck about either of the systems, yet you see yourself qualified enough to make bold statements about one system copying another, and then argue the people who call you out on your bullshit.

So what does THAT make you?

And then you have the NERVE to tell ME that I don't know what Arena is!

    Un-fucking-believable!

  • Yes, it was a typo. I meant to put sensitive radar, not camera.

1.OF COURSE they will use different radar and/or frequencies, no doubt.

They cannot copy ARENA bit by bit. I said a rip off (copied on idea/function) of a product, not a clone (exact radar, rounds), so enough putting words in my mouth?

  • How the HELL do you mistype a "radar" with "camera"?

    How, I really wanna know?

I'm willing to accept that Trophy is INSPIRED by the Arena and Drozd systems, and I can also accept that our engineers had some idea about how those early systems function, so they had a general direction to work towards...

But man, the idea that this system RIPS OFF the older ones requires PROOF, which you have been yet to provide.

  • Trophy is INSPIRED by the Arena and Drozd systems

    - you just proved my point. inspired is just plain excuse from any country in the world. ex. china.

trophy is just an smaller/more safe system, but the rest operates on the same PRINCIPAL. arena is bigger blast, not as safe, but ensures and has higher chances of killing the round than the small blast from trophy.

like i said, proof of its rip off is in its funcioning.

dont mistake my worlds for Cloning. (1:1 copy). of course its not

  • Man, you HAVE to get your terms straight - "being inspired" by something will NEVER, under NO circumstances, be synonymous to "ripping said thing off"!

Again, ripping off is NOT being inspired, and vice versa.

For example - the Trophy APS was "inspired" by the Soviet Arena and Drozd systems.

On the other hand, the Soviet Vympel K-13 short-range air-to-air missile is a blatant rip-off of the American AIM-9 Sidewinder AAM.

    See the difference now?

  • Soviet Vympel K-13 short-range air-to-air missile is a blatant rip-off of the American AIM-9 Sidewinder AAM

that is possible. but dont change the subject, cuz there are thousands exaples of usa copying russia (f35 from yak), etc,etc , but i dont want to go there.

did i mention that insipration is just a plain stupid excuse to avoid lawsuit?

  • I'm not changing the subject, I'm simply trying to show you why your logic is flawed.

It's called an "analogy", I believe...

And no, you didn't mention that inspiration is an excuse to avoid lawsuits.

Probably because this theory doesn't hold any water - if accepted in ANY court of law, ANYWHERE, the countless subsequent lawsuits would bring the international entertainment industry to a screeching halt...

  • america wont by from trophy because its from Israel Defense Research & Development Directorate (DRDD)..and raytheon is american..and DoD wants to keep the money in america..

  • no... they didnt buy it because it cost far too much money to mass produce... it doesnt really matter how good the system is if u can only put it on 50 vehicles out of 2500

  • Because as we all know its much cheapper to do R&D and then manufacture one yourself, than it is to buy and established one that works. Brilliant.

  • fo sho ... when ur the united states

  • no arena is good

  • now, this is great !!!

  • trophy system is so good that it was rejected by the department of defence

  • yeah because it's too expensive to manufacture

  • @donnny101 "Cost effective" Department of defence rejects due to cost

    *facepalm*

  • @donnny101 On the grounds that it was manufactured by the wrong company.

  • @donnny101 shame stupid america favors over who's make better weapons system, than the protection of her own troops.

  • Remember, this tech is new, there are several different types of technology being developed by several different countries, and they're working more or less with one another. There will be alot of advancement in a very short time, "Quick Kill" is one of several examples, and "Trophy" is already moving to their second generation platform from lessons learned. It's going to get alot harder to kill an armoured vehicle. Russia has their own version, and its quite good as well.

  • The Russian's Arena is terrible. A laser detects the incoming round, which prompts the commander to push a button. This will pivot the tank towards the projectile, which then discharges the pre-detonation system. Trophy is better because it is complete 360 defense from multiple hitting locations that only activates if the round will actually hit the tank and works a relatively close range. In addition, their system would be harmful to surrounding troops.

  • *correction, it pivots the tank's barrel towards the target.

  • I wounder where do you get your information "how russian arena operates" please don't expose your stupidity... This "trophy" thing maybe is sounds good... but it's only "sounds" GOOD so far... I have not seen a real picture yet of this "aren't you?" well maybe you did with arena...

  • The introduction of a "pre-round" to fool the system will likely not work, as the system is closely calibrated to actual warheadsm a small precurser wouldn't contain enough HE to pose a threat, thus the system will not act against it. Uh, yeah, they ALREADY thought of that. Russian government just wants you to feel better about it.

  • Trophy can stop any RPG in anyone's current inventory. No doubt about it. KE rounds are not as affected, system isn't designed to stop solid penetrators, but make no mistake, this system works, its ready and Israel is fitting it now.

  • lol, mb its only can stop old RPG 7, but cant stop Russian RPG 30 and 32 ))

  • its bullshit

  • clever

  • america can make it,,,

same as the movie ID4 by will smith,,,

    no give to enemy countries

  • watch?v=H8KLISCMDrk

take a look at that:its the Leo2A6 and the German version of Trophy.

  • big time bill shit Trophy

  • This was useless in the Lebanon conflict.

  • it didnt exist in the lebanon war

  • It existed, but the minister of defense of Israel didn't deploy them because of their price... he also sent the soldiers with primitive rifles, no sufficient food/water, on a full moon, with no real air cover (the aircraft were not allowed to blow up the Hezbolla's human shields), after a million times he called them and canceled in the last moment, with no good strategies and with more care to the enemy than to the soldiers themselves. I blame him for every IDF soldier who died there.

  • RUSSIAN TECH

  • Israeli Tech

  • Russian!

  • Rafael is Israeli. You think I don't know which industry manufactures the armanants which protect me? Look carefully- while the logo is presented, you can also see the program partner- (American)General Dynamics, and two more logos of the Israeli Warfare Industries- for example, the bottom right one is for Israeli Airforce Industries.
