The Elvis of Japan? Maybe in popularity but that's stretching it, I would never compare Elvis to HIDE. Elvis was simply a pretty face, an icon, an image, sure he could sing but that's about it. No one seems to even know that Elvis didn't write any of his own songs, he was a performer but far from a creative artist. Everything you see of HIDE's is his own, he actually knew how to play his instrument, and nothing was handed to him, everything you hear is his own hard work and earned legacy.
