This is so serene. Like @onelilbirdie mentioned, I'm one of the 25 year olds who didn't know anything about "real" food until recently. I typed in "shelling beans" so I can make sure I do it right when I harvest my black eyed beans. I'm a total first timer (city raised), So I took a chance at planting my own garden here in the Arizona desert. Its been very succesful and i'll never go back. Thanks for the video.
I guess you have to have done this to appreciate it. I don't know how many days as a child I sat next my mother or her mother (Miss Annie) while this process was repeated. One simply has no appreciation of the time and toil involved in the provision of food years ago. A lost art....Fast food was a sad, sad replacement. How many people under 25 do you know that can scratch bake, or make change without a machine telling them what to hand you, or---make a Thanksgiving meal and the pies to boot?
