@edge88000 Coincidentally, I was just there at that customers house the other day. They are a repeat customer of ours. The floor still seems to be holding up great and they are still happy with it. Thanks!
Tony, great video to demonstrate the installation. Any chance you can tell me where you got the finish trim (glued to floor and held down by garage door)? Agree the manufacturer recommended finish trim is a waste.
@jimsciortino Thanks! I got the threshold piece at garagedoorpartssuppyDOTcom The item is called Garage Door Threshold Storm Shield it is on their page labeled /stormshield.html Several website have it. You might shop around for the best price.
Hey Tony..I've installed this in two mobile homes a year ago in kitchen and a bath. They have held up very well. I am out west where it gets very hot . For the baseboard I cut a 3" high piece and glued it to the wall matching the grout lines. Looks great. Also on long cuts I scored it with a knife and broke it off instead of shears. How is the garage floor holding up.
@MsCakerat It smells like vinyl flooring :) But yes, it goes away after a few days. I have been around most of the vinyl products out there and they all have that new smell but they dissipate after a week or so. Thanks!
@MyPinoy4ever The manufacturer says that you can use the commercial version in restaurants. I would be interested to see how long the adhesive strips last under constant mopping that you would have in a commercial kitchen. I think in all other areas in a restaurant it would be fine but I am a fan of VCT or porcelain tile in a commercial kitchen. But that is just my two cents. Thanks!
@ggriffith52 You have 0 subs and 0 videos so I say that makes you qualified to criticize others. Come back when you have something to show. Anyone can troll.
@byronsantos72 This is what the manufacturer requires. I do not think it needs that much either but when you have to stand behind the installation you do what the manufacturer says. The 1/4" is not noticeable and easily cover my shoe molding if the owner does not like it. What is your experience? Have you installed this flooring or any other type of flooring? I took a look at your channel. No uploads to see what your experience is.
Thanks for taking the time to make such a good video. The mix of the music matches the pace of the action really well. Wondering whether the Kaindl flooring product was in the end high quality. Thinking about installing some Kaindl laminate in my living room.
@haylin547 We used a product made by Dap. It is a Pre-Mixed high-strength patching compound fortified with a vinyl polymer to increase adhesion and durability. Thanks for the nice comment!
Looks like stuff I'd like to use this weekend. Have any of you had a problem with a lingering vinyl odor. I've read some had had terrible results, long term, with smell. Please advise asap.
@Datajunkies There was no odor with this vinyl flooring. There are no adhesives which are sometimes the culprit. I would recommend getting help from experienced flooring installers. I would say that is where most people screw up. Trying to do any type of project like this without experience is not a good idea. I wish you luck!
If you are going to try it on your own, get RaceDeck flooring which I think is a better floor.
good video, music stinks . thanks

How did it smell? I heard the Allure vinyl planks have a bad odor. If it did, how long did it take to disappear? Thanks!!

@tviswatchingu You can cover the edges with 3/4" round trim and still allow for expansion. Thanks for comment!
