  • Strikes and protesting: those will help, and voting and bitching won't. You're totally right. The elite analyze and prepare for these mini-wars that happen every 40 years. They wrote about one (late 60's) in the "Crisis of Democracy" by the Trilateral Commission. They're depending on propaganda....soon they'll know its limits....we'll show them.

  • havent chuang tzu and a bunch of other old smart dead people talked about how you cant change anything because people who are busy being distracted by acquiring more and more material things will always do what they do?

  • @pimpinpinkpony Ya, but many great thinkers have been wrong. Some great thinkers actually used to believe in logical fatalism: since atoms can't choose, neither can we, since we're made of atoms. That was proven false by quantum mechanics. So, I wouldn't be fatalistic...just try and see what happens.

  • here's how i see it. if you choose to stay home and work, because it's a hard economy and hard to have a job to fund you, you've helped wallstreet, even if you disagree with them and all their money gaining, the police brutality all of that stuff, it doesn't change. Because that's one less person at the rally, one more job that's feeding wallstreet. even if you disagree with it, you're inadvertantly helping them

  • @localphenom

The government isn't just an extension of the people; it's the extension of the public enterprise on private affairs. Without the government, the public wouldn't exist.

  • @dmay25 The only sin is lying to yourself, your not impressing anyone

  • You need institutional change, not personal change. As people are going to be sociopaths no matter how hard you protest

  • This really inspired me, I know how much abuse they suffered but i never knew exactly how hard it really was. This too makes me proud of my country which is something of a rare occasion, I don't have money but there is an Occupy Albany (my city). I will do my utmost best to find a way to record myself there. Thanks Paul.

  • WE NEED TRUE DEMOCRACY ! ! !

  • @Salihovicable I hate when people say that, we are built as a REPUBLIC, Democracy is evil man... Idk how people dont recognize that.

  • i try and get to Occupy London, but in the meantime I'll post this video on my channel for the foreseeable future. i have no money, I'm one of the unemployed thanks to this recession, only found you today, subbed.

  • tinyurl(.)com/42sqm4y

    enjoy your shitty movement

  • @TwistedComplex Enjoy getting fucked in the bum by you elitist buddies! :D

  • @mrselfdestruct23 OH YES

i should stand in the street and do nothing, that will really help my situation

  • Dude, please make videos more often.

  • I've done it. I've joined the Occupy Movement. I've been a major hypocrite. I talked the talk, but didn't walk the walk... well I've made that leap now and attended one protest. It felt good. I won't lie, I felt intimidated and vulnerable at first. I can't stay in the camps, my health won't stand it. I will attend regular protests and try to record myself at the next protest (I don't own a portable camera/smartphone). Sorry it took two months for me to do this, I should have acted much sooner.

  • I used to be a protestor, then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • Individuals can't change the world anymore.

  • Personally, i'd consider investment profits being taxed as income a victory at this point.

  • Funny how the cops never break up tea party protests... oh I see why, because tea party protesters have jobs, they have families, they don't cost tax payers millions, they dont shit on cop cars, they dont piss on people or public property that my tax money paid for, and they don't litter or loiter in public parks funded with my tax money. They go home at the end of the day and go to work, and if they don't have a job, they go fucking find one, whatever they can get hired doing.

  • @Dp908

-"...they don't cost tax payers millions..."-

    Where's your evidence?

  • @JonathanTheAlchemist

I'll private message you the article since you can't post links on comments.

  • You are an awesome speaker,

  • @cardellacole4 Really you are tried of shouting into you micro phone... then shut the hell up. You are not inspiring anyone.

  • Here's one way you can help - which is simple, effective and fun :D watch?v=2JlxbKtBkGM

  • Idealism...Idealism everywhere...

  • Promote action through a constitution convention! Wolfpac started by Cenk from TYT is trying do do just that with the occupy wallstreet protests. Look it up on YouTube!

  • Arent Universities part of the same corporate hypocrisy? Don't they help to create middle class debt with their ridiculous prices that have to be borrowed? At least part of the "Occupy" movement should be bringing Colleges to task too.

  • @torr59622 Yep college rapes you so much that you will be in debt for a long time

  • You should monetize your videos and use those funds to support the protests.

  • Shit changes when top dogs take dirt naps.

  • You look like John Goodman

  • Its happening in Toronto Canada as well. I might join up depending on my work schedule. Maybe i'll be able to catch some interesting footage.

  • @cincofone Agree with the gold and silver it would be much better then this bull shit but money still is very bad in that it creates classes with no money we would be equal and no matter how bad these fuck faces fuck up it will always be the same nothing changes money has no positive value to humans

  • @BaphomentIsAwsome666 You could always try Communism.

  • @maccamacca87 Communism sounds good but dose not work in are current society we need a revolution and the only way it seems is with violence sad but true things are way to fucked up to be fixed by protesting but still support what there doing

  • @BaphomentIsAwsome666 All it takes is one person in the protests, just one person to throw a Molotov or a Brick or something at the top 1%, to start a revolution you know, and with the way things are going, that just might happen any day now...

  • Donated $10. I'll send more if the occupiers stay true. (I can't go because of health reasons.)

  • Made u a bid from SF

  • let's occupy the entire fucking world and change shit for real this time

  • @likeminas

its happening. its not just America anymore. I know for a fact people are doing an occupy London in the UK.

  • At one point in your video you said you have never made a penny on Youtube. So, I am assuming that you don't have a partnership. You should apply for a partnership and donate the money you get to the the movement, you have plenty of subscribers to d that. Just an idea. :)

  • no corporations = no youtube.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia

No one wants to get rid of corporations. We just want corporations to stop corrupting our government.

  • @BusinessIDBAI

Lol I'm almost certain that the government is going to be corrupted regardless of corporations. It's in corporations NATURE to want to make money and by any mean; blaming them is like yelling at a dog for taking a shit on the carpet when you know it doesn't know better.

The government and its crony politicians is what is wrong with this nation. We have allowed the Federal Establishment to become too powerful to a point where it has the ability to get involved in the market

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun

You recognize you just made an argument against corporations right?

  • @BusinessIDBAI

    I'm against both

  • Comment removed

  • I've been talking to people I know about the protests, many of whom do not understand the motives of said protestors, and have denounced their efforts and message as useless. Honestly, it makes me glad that no one seems to give a shit about this country and it's inhabitants. It will truly make me happy when everything collapses, and everyone asks "Why?", and no one will have an answer.

  • Today we occupied "Wall Street" In Santa Fe, New Mexico. There were nearly 1,000 of us (and Santa Fe is a rather small city), and we marched to the State Capitol Building to express our ire. The Santa Fe Police Department's offers truly are among the nation's finest: they did not beat or batter anyone, they did not pepper spray anyone, and they did not riot and engage in violence---- like several New York City police officers did.

  • You had me at "So".

  • @SnugglePWuggles lol. You made my day. :)

  • Looks like the Police in riot gear pulled protesters out of tents in Denver for not biding the curfew.

But protesters are allowed to continue to protest between 5pm to 11pm.

  • Too bad I live too far away from these places to help.

  • Comment removed

  • Paul why should your voice be heard? You don't have a lot of money. Let's listen to Donald Trump.

  • I feel worse for what those fat cats did to the Native Americans. what if they put small pox blankets on us

  • I'm the organizer for occupyBinghamton man, fucking PROPS on this video. I'll make sure you have plenty of footage

  • What do you got against commercials? Why are you even wondering about whether you should put commercials up? A lot of commercials are stupid, I agree, but it is commercials that enable us to have so much free stuff online. Google, facebook, youtube, photobucket, they all run on commercials. Who would develop any of these sites if there wasn't the incentive of commercials? Some commercials are actually really cool, I like junkfood commercials because otherwise who's gonna tell me what to eat?

  • So you support these Recycled Fascists Moaning that someone else is more successful than they are? wow. Unsubscribe.. Click...

  • i want your body

  • Thanks for posting man. There are many of us out there world wide working to keep this movement going and It is going to be a long hard road. But if we all do what bit we can we can make a change. Not all of us are able to get out on the street but there are other ways to help. Lets admit it and I agree myself it is class war and always has been. There is a strength to the human spirit and when people want change it can become a flood that cannot be stopped.

  • It's to bad that this is being hijacked slowly by the dems as the tea party was hijacked by the neocons.

  • I hope this protest lasts for a very long time.

  • Good video!

I'm from Europe and to be be honest I don't understand what these people are trying to accomplish or what is their vision (the rich people will not just change their ways, that's for sure). I heard some people say that one shouldn't change wall street but the political system etc. - someone should elaborate this whole thing to the world outside USA. I mean that would be interesting.

  • @treegraph I think there's no solution to this massive problem the US and European countries are in - at least none that that the citizens can affect. The government system is what allows the rich people to loot tax dollars - the rich are just taking advantage of an unfair game so blaming only the rich people is ignoring the cause. We have to wait for these systems to collapse, and they will in our lifetimes and once that happens we can build something without coercion and violence.

  • Weak arguement paul..

  • @LukeFilmproductions Don't just say that and move on, provide your reasons for saying so.

  • I will do this Paul. I can't go until this Friday because I am in school, but I will definitely send you a video asap.

  • I'm in my final year of college in a business course I despise, because I have anarchist politics and said course drives home neo-liberal ideas. But, anyway: Every year we have to organise some kind of event to raise funds for the purpose of donating to some charity or whatever. I live in the UK, and I doubt my class have even heard about it, but I'm going to pull some mighty orator skills and convince them all to let all of the proceeds be donated to Occupy Wall Street. I am quite excited.

  • @Anima14

Record it and send it to Paul as Video Response!

  • @autoalex1 I will, so long as the occupations keep on truckin' until we get to that assignment

  • @Anima14 there's other occupies going on around the world as well , i believe there's an occupy london you could maybe donate to more effectively?.....

  • @iamLI3 Yup. Occupy London wasn't established at the time of my comment.

  • @Anima14 ah i see.....

  • Good points. Also, fine beard

  • Really well done Paul. I missed this when I was on vacation but caught the link from TJ. Powerful stuff. I've got more travel coming up for work, but I'm home for a couple more days. There is probably some contingent of the protest in DC.

  • I have nothing against the rich, per se. CEOs of companies are paid the salaries they are because the folks on the BOD decided to. Many rich folks are very good at using OPM to make more money, but they are DOING THINGS with their money. Look at Warren Buffet. Now, Wall Street is different. The "rich" there are making money by shuffling money around. THEY are the "investors" who "decide" where the money goes... and the jobs that used to exist here...

  • If this keeps getting bigger, would you reconsider going there, damn the consequences?

  • you're wrong. its not the top 1% against the rest of us. its the top 1% plus whoever else is fucking stupid enough to think that they can REACH that top 1% one day against the rest of us. some people do root for the rich because they feel they will be rich one day *cough* tea party *cough*. when really, if this keeps up, they will never reach that 1%. they work against themselves. but they still do it. bigger morons than the rich people themselves. and that's really moronic.

  • Also people don't know how to deal with a Predator. Society is like a pack of sheep trying to reason with a big, bad, wolf. You might not be a murderer, but some times a murderer walks into your mist. You have to deal with the fact that he is just there to kill your and your family and has to be dealt with, in a ugly way. Predators are not afraid to kill, they thrive off of it, and they want to eat you. The money powers are stone cold predators, you don't get rich by giving a fuck about people.

  • As a species, we need a kinder, gentler, money system. We live in a country where the richest 1% hog have the wealth. In a world where half the planet is used as sweat shop workers for the other wealthier. We need to get rid of the Federal Reserve and print interest free money. Then money will be a tool of man kind, instead of the enslaver of Man . Money is an illusion, it's not backed by anything anymore. It's time to stop being manipulated by the people who manipulate money.

  • If you are in a position where you have no money to donate, don't be sad... be mad.

  • Money is power.

  • The government/corporate partnership is too deeply rooted now to be affected in any meaningful or long-term way by protests, or even by the threat of violent revolution. The fact is that the US government not only spends more on the military than the next 17[?] largest militaries in the world combined (sorry I can't find the source for that), but it has the most effective media control and public relations control in history. It will all collapse eventually, but nothing can help now.

  • Participate in your local movement, I'm sure there's one near you!

  • @araless or start one.

  • I wish I had a job so I envy you. I have a question, and forgive me if it sounds stupid, but what did you do to get a job? I need some tips as a sign of good faith.

  • great idea. i'll be donating some money. there are currently 1,435 thumbs up comments. what a donation that would be if even half of us could give a dollar.

  • nice. in the aeroplane over the sea is one of my favorite albums.

  • i love the cold so ill b there when to going gets tuff in the winter

  • FUCK THESE PEACEFUL PROTESTS. THE ONLY THING WE CAN DO IS START A RIOT!!

  • @wgscheve

So the cops can start shooting people?!!!!Are you crazy?!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You're saying exactly how a lot of us feel. I donated $30 bucks. I would have donated a lot more, but it's a very complicated situation. I plan on going to the Occupy Austin protests, even though none of my apathetic fucking friends and family will go with me.

  • One day I think we are all going to be pushed to the point where we risk losing everything to be out there.

  • @PaulsEgo, i've been considering joining the protest for around a month now. I want to be there, and i could be there. However, i've been hesitant because the idea of being outside in the cold, and potentially rain without my computer, or even electricity, for even a few days let alone weeks is off-putting, to say the least. But after watching your video, i don't really feel like i have a choice anymore. I don't know how long i'll be able to stand to stay, but either way, i'll be there tomorrow.

  • Regardless of how much money or power a person has... they are still mortal. Once we all understand that, it will be easier to resolve this issue...

  • Really enjoy'd this video, subd.

  • I spent the day with OWS...and plan on many more days! Exchanged some spirited words with Giraldo Rivera and Fox News...good times! :D

  • I like how people talk about the top 1% are the problem but Michael Moore, Bill Maher, Keith Olbermann, Seth Mcfarlane, Al Gore ALL support this protest yet THEY are the top 1%. Al Gore says rararara, as he flies his $10million jet and the $100million McFarlane has but does he give $50million away to save the poor lowly protesters noooo, but rally behind them. The problem starts in Washington if you vote in PEOPLE not politicians they'll keep the greed out

  • wanna know what you are really supporting? google "occupy wall street list of demands"

  • @Rockfol I just read that, holy shit it's scary what these people are. They pretend to be the lowly wager earner but when you look closer they are ravenous beasts who want to bring everyone down to a level of poverty and to choke the freedom out of the common man.

  • @Rockfol The are NO official demands. The 11 demands i assume you were referring to were posted by a single loon. Even most of the people who support the protest said the guy who posted the list was an idiot. One person cannot speak for all others. Yes, there are idiots among the protesters, such as the guy who wrote up those 11 demands, but that's fine, because no semi intelligent person will ever think his ideas are anything close to reasonable.

  • I live in England so i dont know what i can do, i am open to suggestions

  • Why are people complaining about Wall St? All they did was follow the rules in order to maximize their profits. The biggest bankers in Wall St, or anything in any system, will end up being those who know how the game works. The people in Wall St. didn't write the rules, if you wanna be mad at someone be mad at the rule makers, the legislators and politicians. And if you wanna be mad at them, then you have to have an alternative, exactly what should be different? Indeterminate rage wont cut it.

  • Focus should be on the real source of power for the out-of-control bankster class- the private, unaccountable Federal Reserve bank that creates money out of thin air, issues secret loans to insiders and foreign governments & systematically institutes debt on the American people through their undue powers.

  • what a fucking jealous thought, that we should force the top 1 percent to support our needs with their money. i wish the lower and middle class would learn to live a more sustainable lifestyle where all of their mortgages and investments wouldnt collapse under them because they wanted more than they could afford. this country could really benefit from some conservative values.

  • @dumbtrumm you're a fucking idiot.

it IS NOT their money, that's the point! or have you just not been listening over the past 3 years when all the talk of the bailouts was happening?

  • is that the big lebowski in the background?

  • donated! :)

  • Right on Bro. I donated a 100 a week ago. Thinking about donating a 100 more. On October 15 when occupy comes to my town, Calgary. I'll be there. I may not be able to camp out indefinitely as I also have a precious job but, I will be there as often as possible.

  • It's not much, but all I could really do right now is donate $10, and tweet this to my 25 followers. I hope it helps.

  • Hey Paul, I just wanted to let you know that I donated 20 dollars to the occupy wall street movement. I want to tell you this in the comments section, not to show off to youtube that I am charitable, but to just let you know that your video had an effect on me (as well as many others I'm sure) and influenced me to donate to the cause, so keep making videos because YOU ARE MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT ON PEOPLE.

  • Comment removed

  • Paul. I matched your 100 dollar donation. I am a Canadian. This needed to happen, the Western world needs to stop being preyed on by the Capitalist vultures that lord over it. I am a proud HUMAN. and I am proud of your action. People stand strong persevere, we will change the world.

  • these are the people that are truly fighting for are freedom

  • This isn't going to be much, but there is a sit called Smashwords that allows one to E-publish your books and stories. As it stands I can't do anything, but I do like to write. If I can manage to draw in anything off this venture, the intent is to donate most of what I pull in.

  • Reminds me of the time some NFL guy bought a 70 million dollar yacht recently. The argument from conservatives? A. It was his money. B. It created jobs. They defended someone owning a 70 mil yacht. I wish I was joking.

Great vid, better than TJs, which was a bit overexaggerative.

  • We should abolish money. Fuck the bourgeoisie. I completely agree with you.

  • @wesleysonic Uh...no...money isn't the problem, just people with too much of it.

  • @themisanthropex Without money you can't have too much of it. Eventually it needs to be abolished but first we need socialism.

  • @wesleysonic How will we buy things? Go back to bartering? Give anything to anyone who wants it? I am no libertarian, but this idea is stupid.

  • @themisanthropex Trading goods is not needed in a communist utopia.

  • @wesleysonic ...I quit.

  • Hey guys, if you are near an occupy protest, show up, even if it's just for a few minutes, just show up, maybe hand out some bottled water or some snacks, maybe just give them whatever's in your wallet, or just hang out for an hour. Just please help them in anyway, the more you help, the more likely it is they'll keep protesting.

  • Comment removed

  • Heh, with the Internet, at 1:00 and on, I feel the same way when I just get supportive comments and not any HELP on an issue.

  • i am at Occupy San diego! Great vid!

  • Speaking to an enlightened person about money is like talking about racism to Stevie Wonder. Every asset in the world belongs to us all, it is only an illusion we are living in where we believe that we can buy and own things to keep for ourselves, for we are transient. My point is, we should not criminalize money, but rather outgrow the need for it. Ideas and knowledge are the value, not green pieces of paper nor numbers with $ in front of them.

  • 27 tools and a 1%er watched this video.

  • I honestly dont think anything will change, the top 1% are just more powerful , its nature, the powerful survive :/

  • @qabandiman You haven't been paying attention to what's been going on in the Middle East for the last year. Several tyrannical dictatorships- far more powerful than the U.S. government in terms of control over their citizens- have been overthrown by public uprisings demanding an end to corruption and misuse of power by the elite. So it CAN be done. The American Revolution was just such an uprising against the "too powerful" Engilsh at the time.

  • @qabandiman Mutual co-operation can achieve absolutely anything.

  • Occupy Pittsburgh Starts next week. I don't plan on quitting my job, but I plan on attending as much as I can. I hope there's a good turnout. I might try to shoot a video, but it will most likely be uploaded to a different channel.

  • I've seen videos from you and not been that impressed in the past.

This one... I fucking subscribed. I've opened a beer to say cheers, and from Britain, they received £40.you're not alone in America

  • I just transferred 100 euros from my savings account to the bank account linked to my paypal. Going to donate that as soon as it's available.

  • Keep doing what you do! :)

  • I go to Illinois State University and we are having our own mini Occupy Wall Street protests. There was one last week that I went to, didn't get any footage, but there's another one that is coming up either this wednesday or thursday....i'll see what i can do. i'll put this video up on some forums. spread it around so more people can see this. donated ten dollars. next paycheck comes in a few days so i'll donate more when i can. keep up the good work!! PEACE

  • Great video Paul, ill defiantly be giving any thing i can, well said in every thing you stated it the exact same way i feel. thank you for this.

  • Dude, don't let life get you down like this. :(

  • 2Pac was right ----> /watch?v=ecCQ9w0qV8k

  • I'm an American studying in Stockholm, Sweden right now. The protests have spread here, and I've been uncertain if I want to join and show solidarity for the protests back home.

This video convinced me to do it. Thanks Paul.

  • Sending 100

  • Sir, I don't know why these police officers would participate in this violence. I am a cop myself and we are very much a part of the middle class that got so fucked by these scumbags. I lossed my home and am now being sued by the same bank(B of A)that took everything from me. I donated 100 dollars and subscribed to your channel.

  • Found your video via TheAmazingAtheist, brilliant video. Watching you guys over there from the UK I'm happy to donate 20 dollars. Keep it up.

  • 15

  • tj sent me. this is some fucking amazing shit friend. I wish I had money to send. Keep up the incredible work.
