This isn't correct, we don't only perceive signals, we also create signals to respond to what we perceive. We would realize instantly that we are not given the real perception because when we try to move hour hands we will not be able to control it because the computer is giving a different signal.

I think you need to go a step back. What does life mean if the Universe is holographic? See I have so many problems with the holographic universe. It would imply that everything in the universe is just electric signals processed by the brain, but what would the brain be? According to this theory, the brain is also a non-material entity, so how would it process any signals? Where does it exist? It doesn't exist! So all of this is just hogwash in my opinion.

But I think it's important to be aware that everything is just an interpretation of reality, what is really real. It's true that we can never know reality since we are limited to knowing the electrical signals in our brain. However, this makes no difference whatsoever, since we have no choice but to live our lives according to those signals as if they were reality. Yes the perceiver is soul. But scientists found that even soul has weight, which indicates it has substances and energies, so I cannot imagine the universe is just a illusion with no weight. If everything is illusion there is no need to have the concept of time and space. Most human eyes can only decode 3-D signals but thousands of years ago our pinenea gland can decode other dimensions which would the illusions that's beyond time & space. The only thing I don't understand is, if everything is an illusion, why do I still need food and water to live?
If my body is an illusionary construct like everything else, then I should be able to live off of nothing, but I know that I would die if I did not eat or drink anything.

There is another theory called the Holographic Universe theory (not the same as this theory by the way) that refers to the universe itself (not the universe within the mind) as almost a sheet of 2 dimensional information.
This information perhaps describes what we sense of the world, I believe that when the brain interprets this information it senses it as it is described although in truth the universe is merely a description of itself, it is only 3D in the mind.
And the mind is just info too.
