@metalcotc Two ways: elevate the stick bomb to the height of the herringbone, then have the first stick of the herringbone rest on the stick bomb. Or just have the start of the herringbone sitting over the bomb so that the explosion knocks it loose.
Hey, folks, I just want to say that you should all check out the Video Response "World Record Spin Win" by TheComputerItself. He invented a new chain-reaction technique that I think has a lot of potential, and yes, it is most likely a world record because nobody seems to have invented it before...
@Jinjon27 I could try to beat it, but since my current world-record video isn't getting diddley-squat for views, why bother? Besides, I had a really great idea--kinetic firsts. If I'm the first person in the world to do something, that's a claim that's impossible to beat...
@lunatim yes, i guess that is a great idea! you can't break a "first person to..." world record! now, just come up with an idea that is creative involving herringbones or stick bombs.
@Jinjon27 I do have several Firsts on video already and will be doing more in the near future. Anybody can top a world record if they have the patience, but it takes a certain amount of genius to come up with something new.
@DOMINODAN123MAIN Oh, well. I could try to beat it as I came up with a very clever idea to cram a lot of herringbone sticks into a small space, but right now I'm more interested in developing new techniques. Maybe I'll take a whack at beating it in the future, but it's not a very high priority right now...
Hey Kinetic King. I have a science project coming up and want to involve stick bombs in the experiment. Do you have any ideas? It has to be testable and measurable. Please report back ASAP. Thanks for the help!
@SkwerNot You can see how much weigh can a stickbomb type can withstand. This can also help you determine the best firebreak.you want to take something light( like a cup) and if the cup doesnt stop it, try something a little heavier(like 3 cubs stacked). The goal is to have the lightest firebreak. Once that is determined, see how much that weighs and boom! Your project is done. Hope this helps : )
@megahotshot97 I toyed around with the idea of some sort of 'mutually-propped' chain since I was a kid. My first idea was to use playing cards leaning on each other, but they lock up a lot. Eventually, I got the idea of having a chain of sticks with one end on the previous stick and one end on a support...
@lunatim Something about your tone and the video in general seemed to lack enthusiasm. Maybe it's just me. I tend to over-analyze these things. None the less, excellent work. How many world records is that now?
@xGimpyx I think it was being up all night that showed in my voice :) Glad you enjoyed it, though. I'm not sure how many that is because of how one defines a world record. For example, I did my biggest clever lever gadget on AGT, but didn't get an exact count, so I don't know if that counts or not...
Still think these need a musical accompaniment. Maybe Red Norvo or Hoyt Curtin. I hear that kind of thing in my head esp. when watching the slow motion chains.
@dustinngo0629 I was originally going to have 3052 sticks so it would have been a play on the old game "52 Pick-Up", but I decided to add 48 more sticks for a finale...
@kianwee1998 The way they're stacked each stick is supported by the previous one, when it falls that support is gone and gravity takes over. This repeats over and over until the end.
You are such a virgin.....
