@SolidSpider195 i dont think they are because you have to get them to get pretty close to your target to get the kill and i think there is a "perk" that increases the explosive damage you can block from hurting you. (I think the flashlights and laser sights are more overpowering)

Alpha is the first phase / test, it's usually closed, as it was BF3, which means only known people will get to test it. Beta is the second test and it has 48h closed time for people who pre-ordered BF3 from Origin or bought the MoH LE and after the 48h it goes " open ", which means everyone get to try it.

Closed beta starts 27th, open beta 29th.
