  • @sandykjohnson Yes, just search Thanksgiving in bettyskitchen, and you will find all the traditional Southern foods--roast turkey, whipped potatoes, gravy, dumplings, dressing, rolls, etc. For pies, I have pecan, pumpkin, chess, lemon meringue and butterscotch--maybe more.

  • Ms. Betty, I just love your fine china. I never really gave too much thought about fancy dinnerware growing up, though we did at least have matching sets. After watching several uploads, I see how it adds to the presentation and yours is very nice.

  • Ms. Betty, I tried this recipe and I used the "no boil" lasagna noodles and they didn;t have the mozzarella/provolone blend so I used Sargentos italian shreds which said "great on lasagna" everyone who tasted it gave it high high reviews, I was very happy.....TY will be doing it again, but will add ricotta cheese next time just cause I love it!!!

    I am so proud of you! Cooking saved my life after a rare illness and became extremely depressed. One day my partner turned on the TV in my room before he went to work. I paid very little attention until the Foodnetwork came on, and I suddenly realized I still had a purpose. Took my a while, but I finally got into the kitchen, I had to use a bar chair to sit at counter and stove...but I started to live again. I have watch 1000's and you are right up there!     Thanks Betty, I was excited to write you, I left out some words! I meant to say I watch 1000's of cooking videos from Youtube to Foodnetwork and countless of other cooking sites I have watched. Your instructional skills are right up there...My only suggestion would be to get your family more involved. We would love to see you cook with family and friends...or for and with Church people for Potlucks and guests who visit church.. Lets meet more of your family and life!

  • how do you preheat this?

  • @theaegymaknae Once this is put together, it is ready to go into the oven, so it doesn't need preheating. If you want to know how to re-heat this, I put it in aluminum foil in a baking dish and heat it at 350 for about 20 to 25 minutes. (You can check to see if it is as hot as you want.)

  • @TheBigfatandy No, you may leave off the aluminum foil; the lasagna will be a little drier, so you might want to make up for that by adding some tomato juice or tomato sauce.

  • quick question..when putting the Lasagna into the oven you mentioned you would leave it in there for 30mins..did you actually use hat time or did you have to go over the 30mins?

  • @RelxedNSassy I baked the lasagna for 30 minutes and it was perfect. Ovens vary, so you can just keep an eye on it as it bakes.

  • Hi Betty, i couldnt find provolone cheese so i just bought grated mozzarella cheese, is that ok? and i couldnt find mozzerella cheese slices so i bought cheddar cheese slices, would this affect the taste?

  • @ZaynMaliksn01fan Yes, you may replace the provolone cheese with mozzarella, and you may replace the mozzarella cheese slices with Cheddar cheese slices--It will not make a lot of difference in the taste!

  • sorry to ask you so many questions but what is the difference between grated cheese and shredded, if i used grated cheese would the measurements be different? Thank you for taking the time out to answer our questions

  • @ZaynMaliksn01fan No problem...I would use sharp cheese, for the most flavor. 1 cup of shredded cheese = 80 grams, while 1 cup of grated cheese = 100 grams. I hope this helps!

  • Hi Betty! Ok so I'm making this again. We just love it.I combine your style and your sisters style of making it. I think what really makes this so very good is the cream cheese you put in yours. Like I said I combine your way and your sisters way& it comes out SO good! Oh this time I bought some sausage to go in with it. I'm still gonna put the 4% beef in it as well. Infact I bet by lunch time tomorrow my family will wanna eat it and I will have to put my foot down and say

It turned out Great! I had never heard of anyone using cream cheese in their lasagna until you showed us.SO GOOD! My sister-n-law is full Italian & she makes this very similar & we used to request her to make it.Now I make it with cream cheese(your way) & I gotta say she LOVES it!

  • @ohpineapples I've know my sister-n-law since grade school &she's always had the best lasagna.We always asked her to make it at family dinners.I tried along time ago, but hers was always better.Now I'm making yours& mine is better lol (but really it is lol) So now me & my sister-n-law have this inside joke as 2 who can make it better.She's trying to guess what's in mine (shhhh) but I won't tell her it's cream cheese. (I'm bad lol) As of right now I'm winning the best lasagna race in the family!
