Occult madness! It seems being behind the iron curtain during their formative years, having an isolating effect on the band, really fostered an outside, otherworldly and weird sound. Almost like Voivod's lyrics had an alien, almost psychedelic vibe to them, partially (maybe mainly) because English was a second language to them. There's something uniquely cult and ritualistic about Czech bands.

Unfortunately lyrics are VERY important in Master's Hammer's music (especially on The Jilemnice Occultist album) and nobody made proper translation yet. Maybe I'll try it sometimes. I personally don't know how non-Czechs may e.g. write reviews for MH without understanding a word.

well,that would be the same for the thousands of Darkthrone fans outside Scandinavia as many of their lyrics are in norwegian. -Even more for the Enslaved fans,"Yggdrassil,Slaget... and Vikingligr Veldi"'s lyrics are ancient norwegian/icelandic.. only the people of Iceland would understand..
