@TheYouwontgetit It's not about that. It's about individual variation; he only has enough muscle mass to move it the set distance that his body allows him. His elbows barely get parallel before the bar hits his chest, if they even do get parallel; as opposed to the majority of us whose range of motion is much larger and our elbows go way below parallel. I guess what you're asking me is; if I put a 6inch trampoline on my chest, could I do a lot of weight? Yes, yes I could.
@ajwazhere ...you will get a spotter... ...and he will stand there like the one on this video to see the bar going right through your chest/neck and he will probably be the first to call 911 and notify your relatives...
@TheYouwontgetit I'd beg to differ. My teammates love me much more than that! Also... I don't use suicide grip so I'm not sure how the bar will go straight through my chest/neck; furthermore it is not hard to dump a bar properly.

There should be some special meets for midgets. Common man. Just look at you. 5'6" midget wit T-Rex arms. Look at the distance the bar has to travel. Just ridiculous. It's like 4". Can you imagine difference between some pimp like this and someone who's like 6'8". Having bodyweight as one factor on competition isn't enough.
snap.. his spine..? :-O by arching his back a bit while benching? I have seen extreme arches, but this is far from it. Bare in mind that this gentleman presses around 460 lbs in this clip.. For twelve reps. Equipped competition PR is 345,5 kg (~760lbs)
Yes. Anyone can tell beginners what to think of when lifting but when you start to give beginners advice to people who hold records it gets a bit silly.

Why is it silly to tell him to keep his bum on the bench and not bend his spine?
I should think so but with 210kg ontop or your body, your spine should be parallel to the floor! I understand that some benchers bend their back slightly to distribute the weight but taking your bum off the bench is dangerous!
If you fracture your spine, your career is over and if you break it, your paralised.
There is nothing to overestimate when it comes to the spine.
Many benchers use belts simply to align their back and support their spine.
My comment was made months ago & ur just now replying? ...soo late!
Its amazing how ignorant people can be! Just beacuse he can lift 210kg you automatically insist that his technique is the best? ...You must be retarded to think that arching the back that far doesent pose a risk to injury.
If you disagree why not say so like a civilised person and explain why instead of saying "who even are you?" ...your sentence doesent even make sence!
shortexxx honestly believes hes actually able to give people much more experienced, wiser and stronger than him advice. there is no point in even discussing.

Short arms, big stomach; bar doesn't travel very far. I have 6% BF and a 6'5 wing span; benching is hard as balls for me.

why is his back bent so much during the reps? isn't that gonna snap his spine? on the first 5 seconds his back is normal then it changes

Professional athletes take risks. Also, arching in the benchpress has very seldom(if ever) been the cause of a major, even a minor back injury.

yes i insist that his technique is the best technique for him.
its safe, and he makes progress.
btw its funny, you said "just because he can lift 210 you automatically insist that his technique is the best?"
arent YOU insisting that the technique you use is the best?
the difference is, hes one of the top benchers in europe, if not the entire world.
hes been injury free and he makes rapid progress.
whats your proof?
