How do you get the GS Ball?

I don't have the japanese version. I have the US version. I have it on my cell phone as a ROM. Shouldn't it work automatically for me? There's no cheat menu with the Meboy emulator.

Wait isn't the PokéCom centre in the Japanese version longer and bigger and isn't there also more steps in that in the Jap version?

@MrTauwasser I know that, but surely the movement steps for the event would be longer then what the video shows.

@ShinyDragonHunter The steps in the US versions would basically be: Save the game, let the event giveaway team load the event to your cart (meaning they would change exactly one byte in your savegame) and then enter the Goldenrod PKMN center and do the event.

The Japanese version would give you the GS ball once you are in a position to connect the phone for the first time. Just like the trading machines, the Center is so new it must be prepared to work.

So that's where the GS ball comes from. Great vid! Shame that this event was only done in japan. We can only cheat to get all 251 pokemon, which means that you can't catch 'em all. Not in US and Europe.

@crazytata702 he was using a gameshark...thats the only way you can get the gs ball since it was never in the US release only JP release

@JAYWALKERS3000 But it is inside the US release. It can be activated by editing the savegame, which a Nintendo-Event would have done. However, the same thing can be done using a Gameshark and editing the savegame in RAM.

However, the important thing to note here is that the Event is 100 % as it was supposed to happen and can be found inside the ROM. Go look at the link in the description.

@bobthegenious Indeed, the scene is activated through editing the save game. However, the scene is the real thing, developed by Nintendo.

Ok boys. I am deeply trying to give info to a friend of mine on how to get the GS Ball. From past experience myself, I know that a bad clone with some sort of Egg glitch with Reflect can get you a GS Ball. However, I do not know how to get a bad clone. Please respond with legit info and I can give you the info on how to get the GS Ball as well as any other item in the game.
