How is this "unconstitutional"? Are you just using that because it sounds good, or can you back it up?

Auto insurance is mandatory so that you can take responsibility for it. So is the requirement that you buy healthcare... it forces people to take responsibility so that public services are not overwhelmed and so that we, as taxpayers, don't have to shoulder the healthcare cost of those who refuse to buy it.

No you don't. If you have an accident, say falling in the tub, and knock yourself unconscious, you will wake up in the hospital with a substantial medical bill.

People who "chose" not to have health insurance, in this instance, will in all likelihood be unable to pay their bills. The hospitals then have to pass those extra costs onto those of us who paid for insurance.

You can't "choose" to not have healthcare, but you CAN choose whether to pay for it. "Obamacare" closes that loophole.
