What is straight acting?

If identity is a performance and a man who is gay behaves in a way that is seen as straight acting where lays the problem?

The issue at hand is coercion, being coaxed into behaving a certain way not any specific type of behaviour. It isn't linear.

@ThankYouAndHello In the gay community, gay men who look like stereotypical, masculine straight men, and lesbians who look like stereotypical, feminine straight women have more prestige and respect than very feminine gay men or butch lesbians. You are correct about the issue. There is no problem with a person acting they way they really are. There is a problem when people feel inferior or pressured to act a certain way.
