  • What an ugly motherboard.

  • @TheSkylie first look at ur motherboard

  • Advert : You Don't Want To Miss The DFS Sale

    Me : -.- I'm Sure I Won't Anyway...

  • well, ummm .... we put the processor in the holes, and ummm......umm.... SPEAK UP!!! who are you, butthead?

  • one of my noob friend put toothpaste instead of thermal past on his cpu. and i was like LMFAO

  • @deepakjindal070 It actually is quite effective. Very short lifespan, but effective.

  • @deepakjindal070 you need new friends...

  • @Dakashizzlenizzle Yeah, because you can't have a cool friend who uses tooth paste as thermal paste! Duh!

  • @deepakjindal070 but it makes your computer smell minty fresh 24/7.

  • @WeirdoMikey haha yea well try making a decent rig for around that price and btw what gfx card will play cod4 maxed out smoothly??

    thanks sub me

ill sub you for the help :P

  • @WeirdoMikey better safe than sorry and only costs around £13 more :P i aint building the pc myself but its a custom pc building website

  • @WeirdoMikey btw what is thermal paste and would you recommend Asetek CPU Water Cooling ***Overclockable XXX***

    ?

    thanks again

  • @WeirdoMikey ok so im thinking about going for 4GB RAM and AMD Phenom™ II X6 1055T Six-Core CPU ***Overclockable XXX or would you think to upgrade from that processor for an extra £15 to a AMD Phenom™ II X6 1090T Six-Core CPU ***Overclockable S&S only***

    thanks man great help

btw try building a good pc with good processor and gfx card on cyberpowersystems.co.uk

if you do please tell me the specs and my budjet is like £500 - £650

    ;)

  • @WeirdoMikey which would benefit me more?

  • SHOULD I GET BETTER PROCESSOR OR BETTER RAM?

  • what about an antistatic wrist band? didt think of that did ya

  • because a power supply is an accessory and you dont need that at all to run a pc

  • @sandnigger01 /facepalm

  • @Buck90wl /sarcasm

  • @sandnigger01 /takespalmoffofface

  • Didn't he JUST say to wear a metal wrist strap to ground yourself in the last video? What a dumb fuck.

  • @taylormac1993 "Or work on a grounded surface", dumbfuck.

  • @taylormac1993 lol thats hilarious

  • assembling on a metal table, yeah thats a great idea.

  • I have a slow computer with only 1 GB ram. And my brother has a computer almost the same as my computer (not 100 procent the same parts i think), but he dont want to have the computer so he is selling it to me. Can i just take the 1 GB ram out, and put in my own, turn on the computer, and it will now have 2 GB ram? Or does it have to be installed, or something els to think about so it will work? thanks

  • @Learncountriescom as long as it is compatible with your motherboard you won't have to do anything else but put it in.

  • @Learncountriescom you would have to see if it is compatible with your motherboard.

  • Will the speed of the internet be faster if you change ANY part of hardware in your computer? Or are these things not related?

  • @Learncountriescom Those things aren't directly related, however if it doesn't load faster because of a slow processor, upgrading the processor works.

  • @Buck90wl thanks for your help.

  • This guy doesnt no what hes doin

  • So, no thermal paste ? ...good luck with that.

  • @kosec321 Dude, new heatsink's come with factory sticker thermal paste. SO no need to put thermal paste :D But remember always check if there is thermal paste :D

  • Is that a stainless steel bench? WTF experts always say not to put a mobo on stell it could fuck up the mobo. Please don't try to teach Noobs if your a noob yourself. Anyways I work in a PC repair center. Why am I watching this video? Dunno I don't have things to do, this ain't my first build its like my 7 th one.

  • @expertprogrammer how much would it cost to build a computer with all top-of-the-line parts, like graphics card, and processor?

  • @Ir0nF1st924 Building a basic gaming PC costs about 800 euros. Making a top-end one will cost aprox 2500 euros :D

  • dont wear socks, if you shock the bored your fucked...

  • Could the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 be in the HP Pavilion Slimline s5610t?

  • finally we hit part 1 omg 3 excess parts of unnecessary crap

  • lol at 00:10 throw the trash on the floor haha

  • 0:51

Should really have emphasized this lol...

The heat sink doesn't always come with a thermal patch in place. If this is the case then it could end up destroying the CPU.

  • intel core i7 860 2.8ghz 8mb 95w box s1156 vs the amd phenom x6 1090t black 3.2 ghz 125w box am3

    What is the best?

  • @funnyfootballs Core i7 definitely. X6 got beat by a Core i5 750, then a i7 EASILY beats it

  • He makes this sound more complicated than it actually is.

  • "How stuff works," he didn't tell me how it works

  • no glue...coputer down

  • READ THE DAMN MANUALS.

Hell, they are in fifty different languages for reason!

  • Comment removed

  • do processors always come with a heatsink or do i have to buy an extra one? processor intel wolfdale core2 e4800

  • @TheMacNazi usally it comes with one

  • you want to put the motherboard on the antistatic bag it comes with optimally

  • Chances are, if you dont know how to install the processor...then you shouldnt even remove it or purchase one.

Im surprised this guy didnt reccomend gorilla gluing the parts on..

  • man he is a dumb fuck xD he forgot thermal paste, a monitor and such XD wtf is his problem

  • @lillen300 The thermal paste was pre-installed on the heatsink. Although, that is NOT a good way to teach beginner who does not know about thermal paste. If beginner bought heatsink without thermal paste and did not apply thermal paste manually it would destroy the friggin CPU. Fuck this tutorial...

Aside from that, monitor and such? Those are accessories, you need tutorial to learn how to plug in a mouse and a keyboard and monitor? You retarded? This isnt even the end yet...

  • HD ???????

  • why didn't you add thermal paste? You should of added thermal paste before putting the heatsink.

  • @shnazzmeister because the heatsink has a thermal patch.

  • Why are all the vids soo old?!

  • @NoneImparticular

real question is: why are those old videos still the way to go? ^^

  • he needs THERMAL PASTE!!!! for his cpu

  • @albgk Not in this case, there's a thermal pad on the bottom of the heatsink.

  • oohh lol i could find the processor but know i know its inside a fan box o_O

  • if you don't have a thermal pad then you need to put thermal grease on it.

sometimes I remove the pad and apply a thin coat of thermal grease. I like using the grease, but is it better? I don't know.

  • He made one big mistake with he RAM though. He held his fingers on the Pins without having himself grounded WITH a clock on his arm that i guess is running on batteries which could have fried the whole RAM card.

  • still ...hm i have like 250 dolla motherb....and 300k proce...is it the same ..? my parts will come soon ,,some one reply fast?

  • if i falowed your instructions i would blow up my computer XD ( you forgot the refrigerating paste) or something like that

  • 0:45 If you watch that, he says the heatsink already has thermal compound on it. I hate Youtube people that don't watch the video.. or watch it without sound. Whatever you did.

  • no he didn't the fan that he is putting has it already

  • hey said thermal patch u idiot

  • it was preapplied.

  • I remember back when I was 12, trying to install my first set of RAM. It took me over half an hour because I was too afraid to break it. The damn memory sticks take a hell of a lot of pressure to get in.

Just make sure you provide a little support push at the middle of the stick whilst trying to push one end in. Most memory modules are firm, but don't take any chances. If you're a broke motherfucker like me, $80 RAM is hard to replace.

  • Well, he just put together the entire computer. Series is over! XD

    The rest are accessories. XD

  • @LeksServices fucking noob

  • AMD yep !

  • how come he hasnn't grounded himeslf. would that just destory the processor?

  • metal table

  • in the previous part of the tutorial he grounded himself.

  • He will be grounded by touching that metal table.

  • only in extreme cases

  • u can be grounded by touching anything thats grounded, assuming that this thing is metalic, and u don't need to hold it, u just touch once, and u discharge yourself.

  • @qwertyuploader so u mean after touching my big mettalic fridge, i can touch my RAM, motherboard and other stuffs without frying it?

  • yes, if your fridge is, somehow, grounded

this can be done by placing it on the floor (preferably the earth, soil itself haha), or i dont know, be creative

just know that if you touch any metallic thing that IS GROUNDED, u'll be grounded too

    cheers

  • Yeah, that's why he's working on an unpainted metalic surface (table).

  • I'm afraid i might grow. u know germinate or..more HOW TO videos HOW2ANSWER NET

  • Forgot the therminal paste xD

  • all stock heatsinks have thermalpaste applied to them allready.

  • lol just get the motherboard out and sit it on a metalic table dw it'l just fuk it all

  • thats what i thought lol

  • grounding method not use,

  • alright

    i have a problem

i didnt build my computer but i installed NEW

    raw

and when i play a game

it completely freezes and reboots by itself

then it loads and say a serious problem has occurred

So my question is do i have to get new ram

    is it the wrong type?

    idk?

  • yOU DIDNT HEAR HIM TALK ABOUT A GROUNDED TABLE

  • What about the thermal glue?

  • he said there was a thermal path on the bottom side of the heat sink... thus no need for the glue in this case

I do however prefer to use some sort of thermal bond for the CPU

  • eh u dont have to have it

  • I have a question about the thermal glue, do i neccessarily need it? i wanna buy a new AMD Processor, and it comes with its own fan, but it doesnt have thermal glue packaged with it, what bonuses does thermal glue give?

  • yes you do and its called thermal compound if u dont the heat sink won't seal properly and it will proberbly overheat. your can get thermal compound from most electronic or computer store

  • It's thermal paste, and I would use it, it really makes a temp drop. if you ahve any more questions ask me!

  • no its not necessary, thermal glue just reduces heat emissions but its definitely better if u get one. But its not absolutely necessary.

  • Please whatever you do... DO NOT put glue on your CPU....

  • @yunggawd lol the most people put some kind off thermal paste on the cpu

  • @yunggawd what would happen ?

  • @xDapProductions glue gets really hot. then melts... sooo

  • @yunggawd Please always put glue on your cpu

  • @MrNukesftw thermal paste not glue

  • @Chaos149 No

  • @yunggawd fucking noob

  • @yunggawd why the fuck would you??

  • Specjalista po zawodówce, a nie dał pasty termoprzewodzącej pod radiator :D haha

  • I have a question for you:

I got a new pc (1GB of RAM - 2×512MB), and a keeped ram card from old one, but i forgot how much ram does it has. Is there anyway i could figure that out?

  • Yes, put the ram back into your computer. Right click My Computer and it should tell you how much RAM you have. If you have 1 GB then put the other stick back in and it says 1.50GB it means the stick you put in would have been 1 GB and added with a 512 MB

  • look on the ram stick, and it will tell you

  • thermal compund?

  • its jesus cum to bless and cool the cpu

  • i lol'd. good show ole chap.

  • The fan already HAS it :)

  • ya but the intel compound is shit if you use arctic silver you can get about a 20 degree temp drop.

  • the fun has nothing to do with intel

  • hahaha

  • that fucking howstuffworks intro is annoying

  • How do they suck?

  • Intel is faster but they cost alot more.

  • u idiot if 280 USD is too much for the world's fastest processor then get a pentium 4 it's better than anything from amd and costs WAY less.. trust me...

  • INTEL IS FASTER......DIPSHIT!!!

  • ya, i7 rules!!

  • Intel Celeron Core Duo processors are great. What the hell are you talking about?

  • for a user that needs a computer for typing.

  • lolz, everyone says that you should ground yourself usin traditional methods like the ones mentioned in one of his previous vids. one way that i found out when i was upgrading my cpu and motherboard and ram, LATEX GLOVES!!!!!!!!! they provide a layer of insulation between you and what you are working with!! so no more shocking yourself and/or worring cus when u have on latex gloves it provides a layer of insulation of static electricity cus everyone knows rubberish materials r insulation!!!!!!!!

  • How is this spam??

  • you should always apply thermal grease between the CPU and the fan.

  • He isn't grounded....

  • he's working on a grounded surface

  • Wouldn't that mean that a charge would still pass through the chips through his body. working on a grounded surface surely couldn't help.

  • The table is made out of metal >_> all static charge is released in to conductors

  • 1:08

    Am I just immature? xD

  • is it me or did he just say flange.....

  • Indeed O,o

  • i was just thinking that lol :P

  • 2:08

Oh for fuck's sake I'm gone.

  • i no lol :)

  • Uh Oh-Spaghetti-O...Somebody forgot the thermal paste...<:D

  • the stock cpu cooler already has a thermal paste "patch" on the bottom ;] but it really would've sucked if he did haha

  • me and my brother over hauled his pc and he taken it to bits and then said i had to put it back together and i was like ok then so i did it , its pretty simple really and my brother got me a cosmos S case cost him £170 from PC world i was like wtf and then the power pack alone was £100

  • does the motherboard come with the RAM?

  • no you have to buy

  • lol that prossesor is gonna frie without any cooling paste XD

  • He said it had a thermal patch on the bottom of it.

  • you didnt put any thermal compound

  • 2 questions:

    1. Why isn't he wearing the grounding bracelet like he says to do

    2. Why is this video cut into 12 30 second clips?

  • the answer to both, he's a retard:P

  • He's on a grounded surface, asshole.

  • lol so what:P i know he's grounded, but for the people that havent built a computer before, its terribly confusing.

he doesnt even use anti static bags, i would really laugh (hard) if his rig didt work after:P

  • He's on a grounded surface, like he said to do.

  • He's wearing a metal wrist watch -_-

  • 1 Question. Why do you care? xP

  • what a crappy motherboard:P do more close ups of stuff, you cant show how to lock the ram in place from so far away, remember these videos are meant to be for people that have never built a computer before

  • what do you u think of the gigabyte ma770-ud3 mobo

  • looks fine... you do realise it is only suitable for amd sockets? and if your gaming you really should consider intel:D

  • yep already built it i really don't mind for either but i more into amd that's just me

  • intel is shite amd is for gaming dickhead!

  • and what makes you say that?

  • experience amd runs games so much smoother, they work harder aswell, intel is for more better at office based pc's

  • ive experianced bad things with amd's in the past, intel is for me... its a matter of opinion though. period. argument ended there

  • I see you're like 12 years old.. YOU SUCK! it depends on the part shithead, not on the brand! check what kind of parts you buy and you wil see that almost all brands has both good and shitty parts

  • you would be on crack mate, ive owned both, intel's new chips from core2 on absolutely wipe the floor with amd. benchmarks dont lie.

  • so amd is better or worse?

  • how do i check my system? im planning on getting a new CPU(proccesor) but i dont know how to check if its compatible on my system!

  • Yupp psphackingtutorials is right, u are workin at a anti statick area wich is not smart LOL!

  • Lol. He said flange.

  • Building computers is not the essential part of human mind success. My human friend so thats what science calls us, anyways, software, you have to explain the software troubles that 120 million people encounter each day. installing the OS is the part that should be taught.

  • Sigh..

    512mb RAM

    GMA 3000 gfx

    80gb HDD

fkin dell gave me this shit after the one i had (which was better) broke down..

im entitled to a new one, damnit!!

  • lol

  • dont ever buy dell again.

  • lol:P

  • 0.51 states that there is a thermal patch on the bottom of the heat sink ..geesh

  • dude he totally forgot the thermalpaste!!

  • His came with thermal paste on the heat sink like some do but yeah he should have mentioned it.
