My Dog Sammy ,A purebred Malamute was in a Covered Kennel and never touched grass until he was 6 months old. He was rescued when his owner /breeder dropped him off at the Humane Society. Thats were I found him. He looks up at the sky all the time, and I always think of the covered Kennel.

We rescue two male bernese mt. dogs from a similar situation- they were in a pen for 6 months together, and that was all they knew. They were neutered, and I shutter when I think about how he probably did so himself. They are now in loving homes, one just got to his forever home this afternoon. We are going back up to Lancaster to rescue 2 more females this week.

as usual CDLver good video. The publicity has exposed many mills but so much work needs to be done. Most of the suposed inspectors are covering huge areas and so sit and have coffee with the owner a little nod nod wink if you know what I mean.

I work in a shelter and I try to spread the word every day about puppy mills. We spay & neuter every dog, cat and rabbit that leaves the shelter, and STILL more flood in every day than we can adopt out.

PLEASE, everyone, do NOT buy from a breeder or pet store; every animal you buy means another one has to die in a shelter.

Significant strides are being made to regulate this despicable animal-dealing business.

Legislation to crack down on puppy mills by putting a cap on the number of dogs these facilities can keep.

Washington just passed a state bill regulating the number of dogs that can be kept.

The HSUS most recent puppy mill bust, the 4th in the past year, took place in Arkansas. 350 dogs, 29 ponies, 6 cats, and exotic birds were confiscated. 283 dogs were seized in March from a NC mill. All of the animal were taken in by shelters.

A HSUS undercover investigation into VA puppy mills found 1,000 breeding operations running without USDA licenses! The state shelters euthanized 42,000 dogs.

Pet stores sell 500,000 puppies a year.

This free-for-all breeding frenzy must stop!

Thank you for making this video speaking up for those poor creatures who are often hidden away living miserable lives as breeding machines for profit. Not enough is being done by governments world wide to stop this suffering and to penalise those who breed indiscriminately simply for greed. Law must be tough on the perpetrators of cruelty, neglect and suffering. Enough is enough for the animals. Don't shop, adopt!
