For me, and so many other kids who were really into sci-fi and Star Wars, the Transformers carried the mantle sooo well! They also gave us a quality sci-fi fix on a daily basis. We always had to wait a few years for Star Wars.
I love when nubs that got into the movie had no idea about this classic toon flick. Time and place, Tranformers die. Shit will forever be classic. And the music is tremendous. Good fuckin times!
It's a really hit and miss movie...when it's good it's really damn good...when it's bad it's horribly bad. Still....it's a hell of a lot better than that cgi piece of crap they just made.

Like Soundwave. Megatron was a alien jet, so why not have Soundwave as a truck pimped-out with speakers or something?
