I love in this game how police could hit you with nightsticks on their motorcycles and you could hit them back. Too bad you couldn't knock them off their bikes (I think; You can correct me if I'm wrong).

I agree with cokboydeluxejr about the graphics being good for a game like this...I mean I remember playing this A LOT back then and I knew the graphics weren't THAT good (y'know washed out colors and real low res textures) but it looks great and ran smooth for a playstation game that had such a huge environment, I remember you could drive across the entire west coast freely if you wanted and you would see giant cities in 2d in the distance and a few mins later you would arrive & they were in 3d.

I mean come on... there are far worse games than Road Rash out there doing really well. It's a series that I think everyone would love to see come back for just one more go at least :)

The n64 version was a design change meant to be a return to the retro theme of the past in a bid to grip older gamers as the ps1 game tanked, It was faster than the ps1 game, featured 12 bikers and many more vehicles on screen than the ps1 version leading to much more hectic battles and had a trademark 4 play. Both however are average but I believe the consensous was the n64 version had better gameplay.
