Um hope you are not speaking of Obscura-onward Gorguts because that is technical as fuck. I'd recommend starting with the classics that are not as immediately threatening as these fuckers. You know, the Stockholm sound ones like Entombed, Dismember, Grave, Unleashed, Desultory, that sort of thing. The Florida scene is a bit more brutal but not as technical as this (with some exceptions of course) Ah fuck it I was 15 and listening to dm and grindcore, it's not for everyone. It wasnt allways the case, If your looking for death with a bit less rigid technicality you might like the original nordic death metal acts like Amorphis, Demigod and Dismember's first albums. Also you might like Obituary, early Morbid Angel and Gorguts as far as north america goes.
