Here's a place in time that society forgot. When music was cool, groovy & innocent. Lyrics were clean and people were pure and unspoiled. Unlike today how media serves our kids a bunch of FILTH where lyrics of gang-sta rap & hip-hop are full of profanity, recording artists are horny sexual beings portrayed in videos & pop stars are admired for getting in trouble with the law - WHAT kind of CRAP is that ?? Just citing how societal erosion is deteriorating the very fabric that holds us together.
Some songs will be awesome no matter what year you listen to it. This is one of those songs :D My band did a cover of this, check it out at our youtube page :D
Heh couple weeks ago i was in one department store looking for some new clothes and this song started to play from their speakers. I started to whistle along with it and some other guy who passed me whistled it also. heh
@ThatOneAgain Heck I was so young I didn't know what a one night stand was..at least they weren't saying " I knew it would be a one night stand!" It was very popular..Great question though..good version... thanks for putting it on..K
Great little tune. Have always loved it since watching Naked Gun (RIP Leslie - one of my all time favourite comedians and someone I had the pleasure to meet once). Now music's all ultra serious about how girls break your heart or how they are bitches to your gangsta. This is just innocent fun. You can see Leslie and co are having a ball.
I posted what I thought was the Naked Gun version. Search "I'm Into Something Good Naked Gun." But it doesn't match this one exactly. I'm trying to get to the bottom of this.
@ts214121 After listening to the Naked Gun version this track sounds like it's at the wrong pitch... It's too high, as though it's been sped up from 45rpm to 48rpm. Strange.
the correct track information for this song is "I'm Into Something Good" by Peter Noone. This is the solo version, performed by Noone alone, the rest of the Hermits did not perform on this version. It was used in the 1988 comedy film "The Naked Gun" and was released as a single on 7" vinyl and CD in 1989, both formats of this single are very rare. I agree this is the best version, I like it a lot more than the original version personally.
@jaypee1154 haha no! hahahahah oh gosh. No. He said one night stand in the song and ya...I said he was naughty because he said it...haha oh goodness. You made my day by the way by saying that. haha
This is true!!. there is something in these song that make you feel happy!! That's something I find characteristic of some the sixties songs. The ones of this type of course. Funny , but the main theme from the show Friends. Seems to me that a song from that era. Love the sixties music!!!!
Saw these guys in concert 1965 in Mobile, Ala. Someone that looked like Peter Noone ran thru the audience, and all the girls screamed. It was like a Hard Days Night scene. So innocent, for sure.

It's my favorite version of this song as well but it sounds like it has been sped up. What we can hear in the movie sounds more accurate. Does anyone have it?
A freaking addicting song!! I've listened to it 5 times today...

Cute song...don't really care for the goofy primitive synthesizer sound, though.

Seeing how the song was made popular in the 60's, I really wonder how parents of that time took the term 'one night stand'.
