  • I have the 207 teacher edition anyone know how much I could sell it for?? Works great!

  • @MrGunderoath quite a bit. Those are rare.

  • Just trash picked one of these today, defiinitely going to save up to get it restored!!

  • @popomatic1970 who throws away a wurlitzer. omg.

  • @ACDC7369 Some nutty older lady who lived across the street. It's still sitting in my living room, until I can get the cash to restore it - but I'm not parting with it that's for sure! Love these vintage keys.

  • "hold your head up you silly girl, look what you've done" awesome

  • Martha My Dear is one of my favorite songs <3 Other than that, I am loving the sound of this vintage instrument! I must get one someday!!

  • Which model did Ray Charles use?

  • @bluesify100 Based on pictures I've seen in the Tom Dowd documentary, Ray used a 120 in the "What'd I Say?" era...

  • Wasn't the Wurli the instrument used by Roger Hodgson on many of those Supertramp albums that we'd be familiar with? I liked the sound. Somewhat different from the Fender Rhodes sound, more bell-like.

  • @YusakuJon3 Yes, Supertramp use Wurlitzer pianos to this day. The ones with the white cabinet that can be seen in their rare 1970s footage are custom painted. Roger Hodgson since his quitting from the band never used a Wurlitzer, although he had (has?) one previously from Supertramp on which he practised and composed his first songs, along with a harmonium and 12-string guitar.

  • 4 - Breakdown (Tom Petty)

  • I found 1 of these by the curb one day in Pgh. ,Pa.on trash pick up day. Really. Plays fine. User/Repair manual available with all parts listed.Still quite popular.

  • does anyone know where I can download a Users Manual for free? and wheres the cheapest place to order replacement parts? - any help appreciated

  • What's the tune starting at 1:00?

  • @nic0demis

I noticed you asked 4 weeks ago.. but what the hell, others might be wondering too. Its "Martha My Dear" by The Beatles.

  • does it have a sustain pedal?

  • whats a list of the songs hes playin i know them i just cant put names to them

  • What is the piece you are playing on the 3rd clip at 1:36 onwards ? Sounds amazing.

  • Nevermind, just read it in the comments :)

  • what is the name of the tune you are playing at the beginning of the video, or if it is original what is it based on.

  • @aaronb7135 That is the intro to "Stay With Me" by The Faces.

  • How much is one of these?

  • are there any pianos that sound like this, but are not as mutch expansive?

  • what is the third piece?

  • @stevesp101 The 3rd piece is Steely Dan's "Any Major Dude"... Cheers!

  • What is the cheapest price one of these could conceivably go for without being totally unplayable? I'm thinking of getting into this; always wanted an electric piano.

  • @TheOdderOne

When I was looking for one on craigslist, I had 2 to choose from. Both weren't in great condition, but both cost $400. It was a killer deal for sure. The one I got sounded better but needed more work done. Better than the one in this video, in my opinion. They are easy to work on though, since its old electronics and mechanics.

They normally go for $800 - $1200 though

Just get on craigslist and look all the time. Pray that you get lucky

  • Doesn't sound too bad...what kind of work did the cheaper ones need, and is it something a person can do on their own or would it cost about as much as the piano to fix?

  • It was easy stuff. The whole thing is easy to fix, and new parts aren't that expensive. Well, the sustain pedal and legs are very expensive though.

You have to find one first. I got VERY luck to see 2 of them at the same time at that price. Search vintagevibes youtube channel. They have instructional videos for almost every repair you could make to a wurli.

The only thing that would cost more than a new piano would be replacing all the reeds. A whole new amp for it would cost $350

  • Thanks a lot, I'll keep all this in mind when I begin shopping around this summer.

  • does this type of piano have to be hooked up to an amplifier?

  • @gronster911: It has a built-in amplifier and vibrato. Vintage Vibe compleately rebuilds the amplifers of the ones they refurbish.

  • Yes. Pianos of this kind have something close to a giant guitar pick up inside =D

  • No. It has built in speakers. I have one in black.

  • A bit Sexy Sadie sounding there in the beginning.

Loved the Martha My Dear. :)

  • Very nice sound. What amp are you playing it through?

  • Any Major Dude Nice!

  • yes very loosly based on it.

  • Is the first piece "Stay With Me" by the Faces?
