I ordered this movie just after watching this music video. I really want to watch it. I cannot wait until Barnes and Nobles ships it over to my home. Uuuuugh, four days is such a long wait, but it will be worth it.
Magnifique video qui m'a donné envie d'acheter le DVD du film ! Merci à bubblewrap. Film splendide : images superbes, histoire qui se passe de mots et qui reste très longtemps en tête après avoir éteint l'écran.
I saw this movie in language diferent than english so I didn't understand a word of it but the story was so adorable. Elizabeth wa so amazingly beautiful in it. I'm so pleased someone has made such a wonderful video about this film. Great job, filled with so many positive emotions. Definately favs.
What a gem! A lovely & poignant love story beautifully cinematographed with subtle nuanced performances by the "schone" Elizabeth Reaser & very underrated Tim Guinee. So nice to see the talented Tim playing a protaganist for a change instead of the "crazies" he normally plays for the big & small screen. "Sweet Land" deserved a bigger audience. A keeper! ......Lovely vid!
Oh, believe me. That's not my reason. This is basically the story of my great-grandmother. This EXACT thing happened to her. She left Norway to go to the United States to marry a man. She was not let off Ellis Island until they were married, so they got married right then and there. The problem I have with the movie is the horrible 'norwegian'.
I saw this film today, and I remembered my Greatgrandfathers (They come from Germany to Chile in 1912) and all my inmigrant family, I loss my Grand Fathers and my father few years and months ago. Thank you because I felt all of them with me again and so close. Thank you,.., this touched my heart!
I really want to see this movie so I put it next on my Netflix queue. You did a great job making this video, the scenes and music fit perfectly together. What fonts did you use? The first one looked like a Peas Font and the last one I haven't seen before, very pretty :-)
Thank you! I'm glad your going to get to see the movie. As far as my fonts- the first one is called JohnLennon and I think the second one is called Market Deco (I'm not quite sure though because I have 3 different fonts that kind of look a like)
okay, only because of your video i decided to watch sweet land. i did even only watch this video about sweet land, never eard of it before. so, i saw it was on youtube and watched it. it was AMAZING! i have to thank you so much for making me interested in this movie., i cried the last 20 minutes... hm, still, i watched it the whole night, should go to bed now;)
okay, i just realized how many mistakes there are in my text. i apologize;) must have been really tired... hey, could you maybe answer a question of mine? why did the want to marry. she has no family right? but why he? why is he in need of a wife?
So sorry to not respond to your question for so long! My guess is that he needed to marry so that his children could one day keep up the farm. It was kind of unusual for a farmer to be unmarried at the time. That's my guess anyway :)
I rented this movie at the video store where I work and absolutely loved it. The video is just beautiful and makes me want to go watch my copy of it =)
This film is just as you described...so subtle, and gorgeous from start to finish...such fine performances. I absolutely LOVED it!!! Thank you for this beautiful video and for bringing this lovely film to my attention.
