This song was the song to me and my ex. We were so close, I loved her so much. Now, after she's backstabbed me and told me to go fuck myself pretty much, it's hard to go on. Now it's months after we broke up, and she wants me back. She listened to this song and she cried, I used to cry. Now as I listen to it, I don't even shed a tear... Depressing...

@Jessnthekeyofawesome it is hard, but we get to talk to him every now & then. He'll either b coming home in March/May, if he goes to Kuait, or otherwise coming home in July if he stays in Iraq. I hope he goes to Kuait!

Me and my brother both cry whenever we hear this because my Dad was away in Germany when I was four sand this is the only song I would actually hear when I listened to the radio. I missed him so much, he was gone for almost 2 years... I'm crying now so many years later just thinking about it...

My husband is getting set to deploy soon for a year. We have a 1 year old who I will be playing this song to in order to remind her that daddy is always here with her and it isn't that he wants to be away from us for a year but it is something that he has to do. I am praying every day for a safe return of every service member. Thank you for everything you do including the ones who are home being strong for the people overseas.

When I was 4 my dad left my mom to go to texas to be with another girl and he was married but whenever I talked on the phone he was always having a good time with her little girl and that crushed me because he was replacing me then when he came back my mom and dad would always fight and then they got divorced and I still cry to this day because of it.

I love this song...My dad was in Iraq for a year and it almost killed me...I was in the hospital for Anxiety and depression because I had a dream about him getting killed one night, thats when my asthma started as well, i was rushed to the hospital at 2:00am and I got held back that year from school because I was soo scared to go anywhere except home, I even starved and lost 23 pounds.... :/ I love you Daddy! Your my hero! :'(
