When I watched this in theaters, I made so many connections to the monsters in Max's world and to the people in Max's life... and when I tried to explain it to my family, none of them understood. I feel like I saw this movie as an extremely deep movie disguised as a kids movie, even though no one else did.

Aside from the Lady In The Water trailer, this one brought up all of my expectations on how a fantasy drama film trailer should be. The use of Wake Up by Arcade Fire was so beautiful, powerful, and moving as well as the minimal use of dialogue. This amazing and moving trailer caught me by surprise when I saw Coraline. Spkie Jonze had brought Muarice Sendak's classic tale to life and now it's one of the best movies of the year siad by most film critics.
