dude i have longtube headers,off road x, and pypes muffler D exhaust and it gave me an extra 30 hp and sounds fucking BEAST! gota retune it....really lean.. but once tuned a beast.

i like the low growl in the lower rpm's it sounds like shit revved high up but under a load when its moving its sick.. i wish you would have pinned it while driving it so i could compare!

Yep, sounds like a car with no mufflers alright!  Also sounds like a car with no POWER! Put the mufflers back on it for power/performance sake! Why compensate power over sound?

I don't want to bother giving you proof. It's not that I don't have any, I just don't want to bother with it. Do you want your gt to sound like a terminator? Check out SSS exhaust (google it). I heard them on a gt the other day at first I thought the thing was a cobra. I haven't heard ANYTHING that sounds better!

Ajhnson, no offence, but you do not have the slightest clue of what you're talking about.

Exhaust systems are all about having a gas velocity to match the performance you want. Restrictive stock mufflers kill top end Torque, which decreases overall power, since, Horsepower is calculated from Torque and revolutions.

I wouldn't be surprised if he gained 5-10 peak HP. Sure, he may lose 5 FT.-LBS. down low, due to a slow exhaust gas velocity, which causes back pressure, which robs Torque.

No offense taken but I do know a thing or two about mustangs. I've owned them from all the way back in 1986. I never said anything about stock mufflers. Of course stock mufflers are restrictive that's why I advocate a set of aftermarket perf mufflers. Personally I run LT's with an off road PC and flow 40's but I'm thinking of switching to SSS. Tony @ HP in Jax, FL dynoed my car at 387 rwhp and over 460 ft tq on a 100 shot. My car is not stock and eventually I'll post a video of it.
