  • agree..

  • cant u see they are macking fun of americans

  • saca83:This is not about americans at all...

  • No, they are not "Macking" fun of Americans, the message is true, regardless of the country he wanted to go to.

  • Why is it that presenting a truism with a hodgepodge of a short film amazes people? They took a fictional story line, arbitrarily tied it to an actual country in an extremely spurious manner, and then regurgitate a truism. "People are more important than places."--clearly the most profound way to present this was through the story of a cliche poor-dreamer going on to laughably out of place game-show...

  • best movie I have seen on youtube

  • That was awesome. I thought it was going to be an American bashing video. It was interesting how it took such a dark turn.

  • You sound like god (I can hear a small echo =P)

    Respect =P

  • The rift between Russia and America is documented history. It's not much of a suprise that the director chose these two countries to tell this story. It could have been any two countries; It just so happens that the filmmakers chose the ones that they could show the audience with the most powerful effect. I think people are getting to wound up about politics and bashing others. Just enjoy that rockin film. :)

  • actually Malas, perhaps you are wrong. However many want this to only find out if they ever do receive it, the costs are too high. What is the saying ..America...love it or leave it...I choose leave it!

  • Kind of agree with malas. When I first saw it, it was an ego boost. But then asked myself why it was and then saw it was a generalization.

  • yes, i loved that short movie! put together amazingly!

  • Conservatives, liberals, and communists all need a smack on the side of the head.

  • i totally agree, its a cool story and really well put together!!!

  • i like corn

  • ur a scary old man

  • Oh one final question, Is Canada in America? Is Mexico in America? All the southamerican countrys, are they in america. I think all of us here are Amerikans, woops Americans

  • So all of you that can't listen to comments that I made about the video relisten to what I said then remark to that comment about Who Wants To Be An Amerikan. My family came from France and families from your country came here to make this country. We consider ourselves as the United States of America. All if you that can't understand what they hear I wish you the best.

  • The United States was started from people coming from all over the world. I grant you the Native Americans wer not treated right but We again We did this.

  • Shhhh dont tell anyone the "native Americans" came over on the land bridge from Russia/China. If people find out they might take back all the land we gave them, not to mention the CASINOS, tax free smokes and FIREWORKS! :) France huh? Arent you glad yer family moved now! :)Welcom home easy$!

  • Not "treated" right? words are short!!!

  • I guess a lot of people can't listen to the words I said. It seems like a lot of people are running down America. First of all, who are Americans? Every one of you have relatives that sailed or flew to this country to make us Americans.

  • You are old enough to know that people will hear what they WANT to hear. Believe what they WANT to believe etc. If I live in Canada under a repressive socialist regime, it is easier for me for example, to believe my problems are because of the USA and their greed. Most countries which enjoy some freedoms and higher standards of living realize how important America is to the free world.

  • The term "free world" is empty rethoric. Sure there are places better than others, but it doesn't mean that the better places are good enough. There are still too many things to do before we can describe any part of the world as "free".

  • I posted this statement on Who Wants To Be An Amerikan. First of all thanks to all that listen to the statement that I made that this was a great production.

  • I am glad that I watched this film, it was worth my time

  • Am i pretty?

  • Well we are twisting History somewhat here! It is a very good video, you guys did a fine job. But you are in some sort of a time worp! The USSR is gone, what is your film trying to do? Bring it back? Our Schools here

in the States are full of Russian kids, nice kids, somehow they got here without being shot. Perhap's it would be wise to think before you shoot "video that is!"

  • Your right! i live in canada but we are you neighbours, we know alot about you. i know you dont study about canada in your classes alot but we study more about america and canada than any other country. they are two of the best countrys to live in. now getting back to subject: i think they only made it look like it was in our time so people could relate to it, its realistic fiction, its saying what it used to be i think.

  • Your correct it would have been a great video about twenty years ago....However, it is possible that they may end up heading back to what it was. So the Video could be ahead of its time. Thanks for the comment.

  • i would not say its old fashioned, just get the fact many people died in russia since putin has achieved power. A lot of journalists died under suspicious circumstances, and take a look at the actual situation,

dont forget you also depend on european economy as we do on yours, besides Ivan is close to europe and does not behave that kind of "political agreements"

    thx for reading

  • Thank you, Colonel Sanders. And, thank you for your crispy fried chicken!

  • LOL!

  • I like popeyes

  • good on you old man. i love the flim too. great to know we had something incommon dispite the 80 year gap.

  • why that? @ 5h0tmy531f

  • your very right sir

  • im sorry

but with all due respect, that video you were talking about was the worst piece of crap ive ever seen in my life

  • why that?

  • Indeed, it is difficult to recognize the fictional harvest of what eastern and western idealisation brings upon the gullible. Unfortuneately, you write as though you wish to negate the facts.

  • it seems that world peace is not going to happen any time soon, eh?

  • U.S.A. citizen??? NO thank you....I'm swiss.

  • Twenty years ago, this "film" probably would have been considered nice. Does somebody really think that people could believe, even then, that the USA were a good place to live?

Is there a difference to die under a bridge with a bottle of Vodka or to die under a bridge with a bottle of US Whiskey? Only Hollywood made the difference for sheeps. It's funny, but there is still someone who believes that comunists eated children...

  • If you can't join'em.. Beat'em he he I know allot of Canadians that live here in Houston They bitch about everything American but for some strang reason they stay here. Unlike the soviet union we have to build wall to keep people out. If they U.S. never existed the world would be a sad place.

  • Actually the WORLD was a happy, VERY happy place before the US came into being, just ask the Natives it killed and oppressed, the Africans it enslaved and lynched, the countless animals and environment it wiped out, the countless civilians now dead in many nations from American bombs, the COUNTLESS nations today which America has sweatshops, keeping them chained in exponential poverty, nobody exactly happy in Iraq...America seems to have MADE the world a sad place.

  • Before The U.S. was formed, Most people were not free. In fact most everybody was a subject to a King, Czar, Sheik, Emperor, Chief or Maharaja. Yes that is right people where all slaves to the sovereign. They planted when told, harvested when told and some married when told. Yes it was a tuff ass place to be during American history too. Individuals starved trying to eke a living out of the dirt. But they were free.

  • Before identifying America as the BAD BOYZ of the world, just take a look at the history of the world. Before we think 'peace and love' remember that each and everyone of us has that 'I am rich and powerful and I am ready to perpetuate my situation even if it means crossing the bounderies, borders and lines of countless others' existential limits.

  • how many dead under stalin, hesbolah, alkeida, communism, sadaam hussein, muslim extremists, dictators, hitler, etc. etc. etc.?

at least we're trying to help...idiot.

  • you said hitler. you lose.

  • Film school productions. Serious business.

  • Well america being One of the world leaders we all look at them to set and example. When all america is doing is killing them selfs by allowing guns. How about this america. If you give up your nukes maybe north Korea will to.

  • Wow. Do you really believe for 1 second that if the US were to "give up their nukes" that North Korea would do the same? A more likely scenario if the US "gives up their nukes:"

    1) North Korea bombs South Korea into complete oblivion.

    2) North Korea lobs a couple of missles toward California just for fun.

    3) Iran's president decides to make good on his promise to "wipe Israel from the map."

4)Iran/North Korea decide to open a nuclear retail shop for al Qaeda.

  • You seriously think america and israel are the only countries in the world that do good? You are pittiful retard.

  • "Pittiful retard." Do I need to point out the the painfully obvious irony here?

  • haha!

  • Nuclear proliferation is not to be joked about. France tested 120 plus times in the south pacific and in the sahara. The United States of America tested more than 1200 times. Now, why the over-medatization of nuclear proliferation by non-occidental nations? That's what's called "the pot calling the kettle black".

  • Yes. But, it is like ten thousand hollywood western films are wrong when two men stand off at high noon. One MUST pull his gun first! Right or wrong that is the way the world turns sometimes.

  • This vid was great

  • Fascism and Communism... well America isn't both so why are people bitching? People bitch about Bush but not North Korea starving their own country to spend all on military? Bush has nothing to do with Stalin and the only reason why you bring it up because you hate him and cant get over yourself.

  • Bush was a mason, you know what mason's do

  • Im a mason... you have a problem with freemasonry?

  • he wasnt a mason he belonged to the skull and bones society. a VERRY secretive cult from yale. papa bush belonged to it as well.

  • so dont kill children tell bush about that, its all about bussines, they dont see the diference beteween blond and oil

  • I have a hard time seeing the difference between blond and oil myself, sometimes.

Now "blood" and oil...there's a distinction that's hard to miss.

Nice response, easymoneyxxx. It was really quite a beautiful idea they had, and I think they did a great job putting it into film.

  • Are there no mal or under nourished people in the United States of America? (Obesity) What did the american government do about the starving millions of AMERIKANS in the dirty thirties? Did anyone catch the convenient equalness in the reduction of health and the increase in military spending in the latest Bush budget proposal? How about the last message of the film?

  • Who Cares? Your interpretation of the economic, social and political issues both countries are facing is completely irrelevant. You clearly missed the point the movie was trying to make. Either that, or you think too much about problems in the U.S.A, while not even putting in any effort to solve them.

  • What problems? The biggest problem in the USA is socialist creep. I cant speak for him, but I do my part by voting for the LP or GOP. I do not want a nation of slaves like in Russia or Canada :(

  • I resent the fact that you call Canada a "nation of slaves". We are in fact only slightly more leftist than the USA- and our gov't is so much more responsible to the citizenry due to our ability to call elections whenever we choose.

Not to mention that democratic socialists or social democrats believe in a gov't controlled by the people, with the added benefit of caring for it's citizenry as a gov't ought to.

I rather enjoyed the original clip, I also thought it was extremely well done.

  • I agree with you. As for the comments made my conservative supremacists...well...we all know how significant and important their critiques are in the world.

As for the film maker...indeed. Well done. Bravo.

  • ??? liking the video makes you communist AND fascist, huh? and apparently a gay liberal.

well a little generalization never hurt anyone i suppose...

  • GAYYYYY Communists are retards. 20 million dead under Stalin. Havent the liberals learned anything yet?

  • Yeah, stupid Liberals! Facism is OBVIOUSLY the best form of government!

  • how many dead under bush?

  • Yeah cos Stalin was a liberal right?

Politics 101 - not agreeing with the US government does not make you a communist. Nor does recognizing the underlying injustices in Palestine make you an islamic terrorist.

This whole "your with us or against us" bullshit is putting civilisation at risk. Have the balls to stand up for REAL truth and justice, after all isn't that supposed to be the American way?

  • Politics 102 - Not agreeing with the US government does not make you a Communist, but wanting your own country to lose a war might make you a shit-head.

Politics 103 - "Recognizing" the underlying "injustices" in "Palestine" doesn't make you an islamic terrorist, but it may make you a terrorist sympathizer.

  • No a real shithead blindly supports anything their country chooses to do regardless of whether it is moral or just.

What your basically saying is, if you were German you would happily have been a Nazi prison guard at Auschwitz to support your country.

And don't forget the USA is full of terrorist sympathizers, they supported the IRA openly for decades, directly funding bombings that killed many innocents. But that was different, they were "freedom fighters" right...

  • "No a real shithead blindly supports"

--No, a real shithead is someone who doesn't know what he's talking about, then makes up stuff to seemingly win the argument.

    "What your basically saying is"

--Gee, is that what I really said, about the United States of America? I don't recall talking about Nazi Germany. You Liberals will miss no opportunity to accuse all those who disagree with you of being Nazis. To the point of making up those opportunities. It's really pathetic.

  • Are you that much of a retard that you can't understand the concept of comparative illustration? Note the words "if you were German"

I was merely pointing out the danger of unchecked patriotism i.e. the classic "only following orders" excuse used post war by Germans who stood by and watched the genocide of millions of Jews, Gypsies etc.

Blind patriotism is fine in the Olympics, but when blood is being shed we should always question if it is just and moral.

  • "Are you that much of a retard"

--You're the retard because you couldn't come up with an analogy that properly illustrates your point. But I forgive you, Liberals are incapable of such things.

"but when blood is being shed we should always question if it is just and moral"

--And who's blood is being shed by the USA in an a way that isn't moral or just?

  • You made a point about backing your country for right or wrong, I made an analogy using an example of someone backing their country for right or wrong...

"And who's blood is being shed by the USA in an a way that isn't moral or just?"

British servicemen and journalists for a start. Nobody does "friendly fire" quite like Uncle Sam.

And btw I'm not a "Liberal" - I just believe in treating others as I'd like to be treated. I think that passage must have been missing from Dubyas precious bible.

  • "I think that passage must have been missing from Dubyas precious bible"

--Before 9/11, exactly what was he doing to others that you consider wrong?

  • Please define "REAL truth and justice." I anxiously await what's sure to be a most insightful and thought-provoking definition.

  • "REAL truth and justice" means judging each person by the same set of rules, regardless of whether they can provide economic or political benefits. Simple as that.

If you can't agree with that, you really are an asshole.

  • very well done. the media should pick up on this one!

  • I AGREE! great video :D

  • i enjoyed how well it was acted.

  • First of all it was a satire. Second of all being believable is something that is only relatively important to filmmaking as most of Hitchcock films were not that believable to begin with yet were so well told people never question them. The whole atmosphere of the shortfil allows us to accept the fake show with the slightest thread of veracity in it just as it happens in Clint Eastwood movies(William Mooney shooting five armed man in Unforgiven)

  • Kulcat, film school much? As far as believable, I am not address the story, but rather the motivation of the character. ...i.e. and action within the story that fails, if you got to go there, you got story problems.

  • ARGHHH! Cant watch anything past 5 minutes. Is it my pc, or your film???

  • If I were making script notes, not working -a television show, broadcasting, with people signing up, in a place where there is a law against it. There being danger involved, is important to the conflict set up. Motivation of the character is in conflict with the set up of the society the he lives in. He, that it is a set up, a trap. You, as a director, want circumstances to be believable. I like it better than Jane Campion's student film. Okay work, keep at it.

  • wonderful honest review

  • Lots of nice comments here on my remarks on the PRODUCTION of this film (Who Want's To Be An Amerikan)

Again I commented on the Production fo the film and nothing else. So listen again! And yes there are a few people that everything that comes from the tips of their fingers has to be negative. (Tips of the finger to the keyboard) Thanks to all of you that UNDERSTAND what I was saying in my video and not being a person that just shows her/his you know what I mean, (Behind).

  • I am confused, you think the production value is good? You think the scriptwriting is good? Maybe I need to read more of the comments to see what is going on. Thanks for being interactive!!!

  • Maybe you should have reviewed the film as a whole: you are right, good production; however, the methaphore of the guy who wants to be an Amerikan despite a dictatorship is an stereotype. I do not deny that some people really want to come to the USA, but I wouldn't say that most people want that.

  • hey man u speak words of gold about this movie as i also thought it was one of the best put together fims for a while on youtube! :->

  • film sucked...and so do you!

  • Shut up.... If you think he and the film sucked, why did you watch both?

  • bitch

  • now, sucka4free, as learned in college, just saying you do or do not like something is not enough. Tell us the technical and story telling parts that you find needing help and how you would fix it. ;-]

  • i am so sorry..me no go to college! me very ignorant and stupid....just like Texan..me love you!

  • ignorance sucks, and it is never too late to get an education. good luck with that and your personal growth in life.

  • sucka4free, I ment for that other comment to be more on the side of comedy, but comedy is hard, and it came out sounding more like snotty tude that a sharp funny insight. please to not be offended, did not mean to slam you. ;-\

  • i am sorry sir..please forgive my offendedness! love you! peace

  • I'd like to see your work sucka4free dipshit. This movie was very well done, probably one of the best on Youtube. I see you haven't contributed any of your own blockbusters yet. I can't wait for you to go steal a camera and start making your own films. Do you have a paypal account I'd even donate to your camera fund to see what your made of.

  • ok santa clause... we'll watch it.

  • LOL! HHAHAHA. cunt.

  • I agree with you, dude! This movie was great. Thanks for telling the world. :-)

  • bad lighting continuity problems bad acting and why would two russian people be talking english in their own home...youve got off on the wrong foot to begin your career your trying to follow suite with what the fucking americans do...look on youtube learn how to make ineresting funny stuff

  • its a film for god's sake. its done all the time. look at all the american movies set in other contries. its very common.

  • go back to your AA meetings

  • wtf is wrong with you?

  • I don't think your comparison to a comedy-styled show is appropriate at all. Idiot.

  • They are speaking the english so people like you understand it and inserting a russian (I assume) accent so it feels more authentic. It's a really good idea, or would you prefer subtitles?

  • Hmm, thats a toughie, I think that if they actually WHERE speaking russian and there where subtitles it would seem very realistic, but i think its more normal to me if they speak english.

  • assino em baixo

  • "do you realize that such shows didn't even exist in the USSR"

about SUPERMAN - Do you realize that no one can fly? The Movie Superman demonstrates how ignorant the people who made it and who watch it really are.

(its called "fiction", look it up)

  • Thank you for discussing the work and your very kind words

  • Druidu, if you honestly think Americans are that uncivil, talk to one. You might learn something. Most of us are smarter than our president.

  • I didn't say Americans are idiots (even though some are up tight ass holes ... just like some French), I said that it's a characteristic that people attribute to Americans. I talked to Americans and no, not all of them are stupid.

  • wow.. I do not know where your from but apparently (using your logic ie. stereotyping entire nations based on few real experiences) everyone there are real assholes!

I myself was born in England and Live in Canada (long standing historical rivalries betwixt these countries and France/USA) and I don't hate them all or even classify them as a people as ..more dumb then other nations... w/e you probably won't even think about this you'll just get defensive.

  • Hey, maybe I'm just reading this wrong but are you actually saying anything here? It kind of sounds like just a bunch of pointless, loosely tied togeather dribble spouted by some pretentious, self-satisfied douche bag. That's just what it sounds like though.

  • wtf are you talking about it sounded like a video comment thats what he would have wrote if it was a text comment. he just said he liked the video.

  • If most Americans are smarter than their president, start wondering how did he become a president. Twice. Key word is MOST Americans. There are clever and stupid people in each nation, but I wouldn't find a majority of USA to be someone I could learn something from.

  • If you have a decent mind, you can learn something from anyone. Maybe you just aren't very creative, you know what I mean?

  • You can learn something from an amoeba as well, but this wasn't a discussion about creativity and making conclusions while watching stupid life forms. Pearlman (obviously clever American who lives surrounded with other clever Americans) offered two possibilities: "someone is uncivil" and the other one "someone is not uncivil and you can learn something from that person".

  • This question requires long explaining of word 'literally', and I don't have that much time :P

  • where are you from?

  • bbsantic - Yeah, you're right. Most people here are stupid. That's why we have such a mostly stupid country, a mostly stupid economy, mostly stupid laws, a mostly stupid military, mostly stupid legal system, and we lead the entire world in technology and innovation in our stupid industries. And why most of the stupid world wants to come live here. Get a damned clue, friend.

  • Actually, ask anybody who knows much OUTSIDE all this law, economy, industry, military, and they will tell you that through all these things, America converged upon their nation, driving it into the ground, through invasions, sweatshops, sanctions, resource exploitation, etc. It's easy to want to go to the robber's house to dwell in the riches it has stole from the neighborhood, in some way, shape, or form.

  • I know it is popular with America haters to blame all slavery on the U.S. But know this:

Africans in Africa set up slave markets and sold people from rival tribes to Europeans. That's right EUROPEANS way before the U.S. was formed they where English, Dutch, Belgians, Spanish etc. Slavery still goes on in much of the middle east and Africa.

America provides opportunity for anyone who wants to bust their ass I.E.: Oprah, Tiger, Colin P. and yes Barak Hussien Obama!

  • mach - Oh, yeah, sorry about that. What I really meant to say was that the US actually just waged war against everyone, set up sweatshops, imposed sactions, and exploited their resources to achieve this greatness. How strange how it all just "worked" somehow. And I wonder where in the Constitution it instructs us to do this to other nations. WWII must have been the biggest swindle of them all. And I love how Lincoln, FDR, and JFK robbed everyone bare!

  • You need stupid people to keep the machine running; if they well paid stupid people, they are going to be happy and will not be rebellious. As a matter of fact, I have lived and travel in many countries, and proportionally, there are no more stupid people in the USA than in any other country; also, there are not more intelligent people.

  • malas - No country has a corner on the market for smart people. It doesn't work that way. My point was USA is not full of stupid people, our success, leadership in technology & universities is evidence against that. But yes, success, & especially welfare policies, aids complacency, & we do have that. But its ridiculous to say we're all stupid. That's just comments from America-haters. And no, there's no conspiracy to keep others down. In fact, we try to help other nations build their economies.

  • I agree with most of your statements: no country has more smart or stupid people than the others, the success in those fields you mentioned are evidences, etc (however, welfare policies can be a lot better). If it is true there is no conspiracy to keep others down, I doesn't look like there is a real intention to help other countries build their economies. It can be discussed. Too bad youtube doesn't allow to discuss ideas in a more formal format.

  • malas - People in other nations always condemn the US for doing things that are in its best interests. Well, that's what our govt is there to do; make our nation better for its citizens. It's in our best interests to help other nations build their economies so that we will spend less money in economic aid to them. As the saying goes, give a man a fish...

  • That is what I do not believe. It as paternalistic idea of the USA, very popular among Americans, but it is not entirely true.

  • malas - Can you cite any instances where the US govt has blocked another nation from improving its economy? Heck, we even granted China MFN status for years to help their economy. Of course, we were trying to get them off Communism, which again, is in our best interests, and everone else's.

  • Well that is a good question. The first time he stole the election by getting his brother to have a judge rule a lot of votes invalid, remember the hanging chad fiasco. The second time he won because they didn't run anyone against him. The point is, when your country's at war you don't switch commanders in chief. You can't judge us all by one idiot in the white house.

  • will - Nobody stole the elections. In '00 Bush won the Electoral Vote, and the State of FL had a deadline to turn in their results, which they did. All states throw out certain votes which are suspect in some way. That year there were votes cast by those not on the voting lists. And don't forget the stupid people who incorrectly cast their votes, then didn't ask for new ballots. In '04 Bush won both the popular and Electoral votes.

  • What flavor is that koolaid? I suppose all the reports of election fraud and just part of the Gonzalez fallout is just totally unrelated?

    Wingnuts crack me up.

    Election was fair...hoooo-weee... that's a good one.

  • What does Gonzalez have to do with the elections? Don't think I heard about that.

And no, what some people think is voter fraud actually is not. People today have wildly varying (and wrong) ideas on what the law is and what constitutes voting rights & fraud and their civil rights. All from erroneous info from the Left. Some believe that if their boss tells them they can't print something in the company news letter, then that's censorship.

  • "Election was fair...hoooo-weee... that's a good one."

So you're saying that all of the systemic problems of our voting system helps only Republicans? Here's one for you: NYTimes editorial said the 04 vote was unfair because 1. Long lines at Ohio polls hurts only Democrats, and 2. Rainfall at polls hurts only Democrats. So to get a "fair" vote there should be a new vote.

  • Okay,.I'm not gonna argue. I guess you are one of the 27% that still love the douchebag. And, by the way, I addressed the 04 election. Nobody votes against a sitting U.S. President during a time of war. It sends a signal of weakness to the enemy, when they realize that the country is not behind the war effort. That being said Bush won by less than a 1% margin. If the democrats had actually put a candidate in the race, they would have won!

  • "you are one of the 27% that still love the douchebag"

As almost all Conservatives would tell you, I can totally disagree with him on his immigration and border polices, and would probably reply in the negative on a survey of his current performance, but would still suport him as the best person for the job. The two aren't mutually exclusive. That's why those survey's are not the whole picture.

  • I find it really hard to believe, knowing the geniuses that I know, that George Bush or for that matter John Kerry, Howard Dean, John Edwards, Bob Graham, Dick Gephardt, and even Joe Lieberman, who is a personal friend of mine, are the brightest guys in the country. Even more shocking is the fact that a guy, who did everything to avoid going to Vietnam and fighting for his country himself, has the balls to send young Americans to their deaths in an unwinnable war in Iraq.

  • "a guy, who did everything to avoid going to Vietnam and fighting for his country"

--He served his country in the ANG. Some people serve their country as file clerks or auto mechanics. Service in any capacity is noble.

"send young Americans to their deaths"

--The qualifications for President do not require military service. Bill Clinton dind't serve at all and sent servicemen into battle on several occasions.

  • George W. Bush served his country, as did his father. Clinton did not serve, neither did Reagan. Even one of our greatest Presidents of all, a war time President, F.D. Roosevelt did not serve. I don't even think Lincoln served.

  • No, George Bush was registered in the Texas Air National Guard at a time when most men without his family's clout were heading to Vietnam. Pussy. People who were supposed to be his superior officers from 1970-71 reported not actually meeting him. Other reports in 73 said he was too drunk to fly. A hero to me.

  • "Most" men didn't go to Vietnam. Only a pussy like you would make shit up about people just out of hatred. And yet other reports tell a different story. You're such a great Liberal, believe some reports and not others. Wow, with those qualifications you could work for CBS News!

  • How could anyone not hate the privileged rich boy who no matter what you say, did whatever he did to avoid Vietnam but he had no problem sending 2 of my friends and many others over there to fight a battle he started because he didn't know the difference between Osama and Sadaam. One friend died the other has a nasty brain injury. SO yeah maybe I do have strong hate for the man.

  • I'm very sad to hear about your friends. Nothing I say will bring your fallen friend back. I have a good friend over there as well.

Regarding Bush's privilege, no I don't like anyone having sheer privilege over others, I believe in work and worth. But I don't pretend like it doesn't exist (and it was Texas, and the 60's, a different world).

  • every american is smarter than that sorry excuse for a president. theres mentally handicapped people at my school more intelligent than that boob.

  • Hey penquin - Sarcasm (and extreme exaggeration) aside, stupid people don't win the Presidencey AND re-election. I'm interested in knowing your educational background and your great accomplishments (and those of your retarded classmates) so we can discriminate between the stupid and the smart.

  • then why is bush president

  • It appears you answered your own dumb question.

  • NoGuff, do you live in the US? How could you actually say stupid people don't win the presidency (which by the way you couldn't spell right.) Bush is a redneck idiot. Even his speech writers laugh when he tries to sound smart. The only thing your post proves is that you're most likely a red state dope like your president. How much oil money do you have? The only people who voted for the dope are the oil millionaires and the trailer park half-wits.

  • will - Thanks for pointing out that solitary spelling error (out of 8 postings). Yeah, I must pretty stupid for that, huh? Saying stupid people win the Presidency is like saying slow people make it to the running evens at the summer Olympics. Our election system weeds out those who cannot become President. And if Bush is so stupid, how did he do better at Yale than John Kerry? I'm sure you voted for Kerry, didn't you? But I'm sure its pointless to even discuss this with someone like you.

  • Do you really have to ask why George Jr did better than Kerry at Yale? (if that is true?) I have a feeling that since his father was a powerful man in the country while he was enrolled at Yale his class attendance record was probably about the same as his service attendance record. It's always nice when they're willing to rubber stamp your transcript for you. There must be something he's hiding, he always tries to hide the fact that he was born in New Haven.

  • "(if that is true?)"

    --Duh, its documented.

"his father was a powerful man"

--So even though his school record is documented by a private university, you're willing to accept, and most likely erroneously pass on as propaganda, that its all false? What a good Liberal you are!

  • Uh, I work for a University. I can absolutely see him getting a rubber stamp. I have friends that work across town at Yale who I'm sure would sell you a PhD in your dog's name if you wanted, and were willing to throw them a few bucks.

  • will - Do you hear youself? You're making up things out of the blue and trying to convince yourself they are true. And this comes ONLY from your hatred of George Bush. Your hate is consuming you. Let it go.

  • I haven't made up a single thing. Go research your hero's record. You'll find everything I said is based on facts. I would never write anything on the internet that wasn't true. You know why they call them Red states don't you? Because they're all communists. Oh and back to the original video. Great Video. Loved the Game show. Can Bush play?

  • "I haven't made up a single thing...I would never write anything on the internet that wasn't true."

"this is a 2 party system"

"most men without his family's clout were heading to Vietnam"

"Bush is a redneck idiot. Even his speech writers laugh when he tries to sound smart."

"his class attendance record was probably about the same as his service attendance record... There must be something he's hiding"

BTW, how can I get one of those "rubber stamped" Yale degrees? Thanks!

  • If you really want one let me know. I can get you any degree, in any concentration. Keep in mind that the piece of paper doesn't come with any actual knowledge. In your case a PhD would stand for a Pretty Huge Dumbass! jk ;)

  • I thought that's all it stood for.

But I'll take the J.D. just the same. Stands for "Just Dickheads."

  • Juris doctorate, reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy? You don't really seem to have the skills necessary to argue a legal case. Your point of view tends to get lost in hyperbole. Good luck with that though! I think its really about time to leave this poor video alone.

  • Oh, and no, I didn't vote for Kerry. I was saving my vote for a real candidate. I didn't go to the polls that day. Like I said, you don't vote against the sitting president during a war. I couldn't bring myself to pull the rug out from under the soldiers.

  • "I didn't go to the polls that day."

--So don't complain about who won, since you didn't bother to participate. When Gray Davis was running for reelection as CA governor against a guy who was clearly a crook, I voted by writing in a candidate of my choice. I didn't puss out and say my vote didn't count or I don't like these two people. You don't HAVE to vote for a Dem or Rep, you can vote for anybody you want. THAT'S FREEDOM.

  • you may be right. I could have voted for Nader. But then we all know in all reality this is a 2 party system. But like I said, I wouldn't vote against the commander in chief during a war. Thats why I didn't vote. I couldn't vote against him, but there was no way on earth I could ever vote for him either.

  • If you were talking about the production then I stand corrected. I had the impression that you were applauding the wrong facts of the film.

  • Sir, do you realize that such shows didn't even exist in the USSR or the ex-soviet block because they were strictly out lawed? It appears not seeing how you would have pointed this thing out if you did know.

They say Americans are ignorant, so please, for the sake of your compatriots, next time try reading more about this kind of stuff before saying anything and proving that the 'American idiot' stereotype is in fact a reality.

    Have a nice day.

  • do YOU know wut your talking about?

  • Now if you watch this again and not trying to put things into it. I talk about the production and nothing else. Nothing is said about anything else. The production and everything about it was just great Period! Please listen with care then remark.

  • druidu, you dumb shit, as a work of fiction, it contains literary technique such as allegory. It's not a historical documentary. I think you must be one of the very few not to realize that. Sharpen your perception before jumping on the tired old "Americans are ignorant" train.
