Iraqi Sunnis don't want to be in Iraq anymore. So a united Iraq has become a myth. In fact most Sunni Iraqis want independence. As for the Kurds well they can't have all the North, since Mosul is Arab, and Kirku has Turkmens in it. However the Sunni regions will sooner or later be independent.In fact the majority of Iraqi Sunnis want nothing to do with Iraq. I am not confused. I realized and learned that Iraq can't stay as united entity anymore. No I am not I know my people. Many want to have independence. In other words they want to protect their culture, traditions from other entities. Sunnis and Christians are the greatest victims of terrorism mostly coming from Iran, and to lesser extent Saudi, and also we are the most hated in Iraq. I have seen the hate against my people in Iraq. This is why.

I come from the North, the region is like 99% Sunni Arab. For the most part they intermarry with themselves. i mean they marry other Sunnis. I don't know maybe they loved one another. Such marriages btw are very had to get into. Since many families oppose them from what I have been told. I know many Shias don't hate us but many do as well. The ones who hate us are the ones who are making the most noise!

Lebanon went through brutual civil war. This fate should not occur in Iraq. If the situation comes to this then it would be better for other people to secede in order to limit the bloodshed. I don't think Iraq is progressing but rather regressing it has been the most dangerous nation for miniorities and women right now. Iraq has different circumistances than Lebanon. Maybe in America, because they all see themselves as Iraqis, but in Iraq that is not the case. They might be all Muslims but the theological differences between the two are clear as day. I know many families who will never give their daughter to a Shia because of religious differences. I am not being sectarian or what not just speaking the truth on the matter. Most Iraqi Northerners tend to be hardcore Sunnis and usually intermarry among themselves.

Of course it's natural to be so when you are outside of your nation. However I know many Mosulis who now refuse to call themselves as Iraqis but rather as Arab Turks or Syrians because they want to distance themselves from Iraq. I am proud to be from Iraq but I also have my own ethnic identity and culture that is different from the people of the South, and I would like to preserve it.

Yes that is true to an extent. However Kurds and Turkmens are not similar to Assyrians or Iraqi Arabs for example. As well Iraqi Arabs from the South are closer to Saudis than they are to Northern Iraqi Arabs who are closer to Assyrians. For example Iraqi Southerners trace their lineage to Bani Lam being one of the nejdi tribes that left arabia in the 19th century and became Shia, and then you have the Toga, Bani Assad, Jubur and so on. In the North the people are clearly Arabized.

Yes that is true mostly mixed areas. However in areas like the North usually that is slim to none and even the West. Indeed because there is huge difference in the theology. The closest Shias to the Sunnis are the Zayadis. The Zayadis are basically Sunnis who believe in Imamate. 12er Shiaism is radically different than Sunnism. If Shias in Iraq were Zayadis maybe the Sunnis would not feel threatened.

As well Iraqi Arabs from the South are closer to Saudis than they are to Northern Iraqi Arabs who are closer to Assyrians. For example Iraqi Southerners trace their lineage to Bani Lam being one of the nejdi tribes that left arabia in the 19th century and became Shia, and then you have the Toga, Bani Assad, Jubur and so on. In the North the people are clearly Arabized.

Yes that is true mostly mixed areas. However in areas like the North usually that is slim to none and even the West. Indeed because there is huge difference in the theology. The closest Shias to the Sunnis are the Zayadis. The Zayadis are basically Sunnis who believe in Imamate. 12er Shiaism is radically different than Sunnism. If Shias in Iraq were Zayadis maybe the Sunnis would not feel threatened.

No I know Iraqi culture especially of ours Northern Iraqis but the South there is little similarities and the differences are great. How so, i just spoke my opinion on the matter in a polite tone. You do realize that the Iraqis are divided and are not even seeing an eye to eye. So I doubt they will unite on the Kurdish issue.In fact most Sunnis want nothing anymore to do with Iraq. They want to secede because this the only way for peace. Iraq fragmentation has been made possible and inevitable. Many Sunnis are now being killed or their homes taken away and being given to other peoples.
