  • Adorable^^ I love Kelloggs commercials^^

  • CUTE COMMERCIAL ;-)

  • Anyone remember a Kelloggs cereal called Corny Snaps?

  • @7DARKHELLS

I cannot say as I remember them. They must have been before my time.

  • they seriously have to do something like this nowadays

  • is it just me, or is the tiger bigger than the elephant?

  • awe--I miss Dig'em the frog and I miss when it was called SUGAR SMACKS

  • I love Frosted Flakes :D

  • Cool TVC~And good

  • Wow! A old TVC!

  • what happened to tony jr, i loved those sweet rice crisbys

  • im kinda happy m e and a few friends found a big abandon kellogs factory

  • (sigh)life was so innocent back then..

  • This commercial aired in 1980.

  • What happened to the little tiger in these commercals

  • He was Tony Jr, the spokestiger for Kellogg's Frosted Rice which didn't last too long.

  • it continues to this day, only they got rid of Tony Jr and gave the gig to SNAP, CRACKLE & POP.

  • He's been in some disney movies I think. He's all grown up now.

  • Whatever became of the porcupine from Corn Pops and the monkey from Cocoa Krispies?

Sad how Apple Jacks never had a decent cartoon mascot? I'd suggest a skateboarding jackrabbit named A.J. or something—not two crudely drawn, stick figure kids on the box.

  • apple jacks should have an apple that looks like a pimp, as there mascot

  • i bet that little girl is like 50 now.

  • maybe 30 because this was made in the 80's.

  • maybe but she looks 10 there.

  • Thanks for the info. This was more of a question from my husband, thanks

  • Yeah, I've never heard of them, from Aust. Sounds yummy though.

  • you realize that all the represented cerals are the same stuff just run through different machines?

  • yeah, if corn, rice and wheat are the 'same stuff'.

  • tusky the chocolate elephant from cocoa krispies.

  • Yep, Ive never seen those Apple Jacks, and Rice crispies were around for about a year...I loved those ...

  • I´m mexican. Cocoa Krispies is called ¨Choco Crispis¨ and it´s still marketed in Mexico...

    Tusk is called Melvin here...

  • Tony the Tiger is the BEST!!

  • who was the elephant?

  • i think he was the mascot for cocoa krispies.

  • In Mexico, it´s called Melvin

  • i remember this :)

  • Awesome! At 1:11-1:14, I remember Tony Jr. from Frosted Rice and Tusky from Cocoa Krispies! But Kellogg's decided to make these cereals a part of Rice Krispies. Snap, Crackle and Pop put these characters out of work! LOL! Thanks for posting!

  • dude that song is GETTING OLD!!!

i hate that everything is either going rap or pop rock. even camp grenada has gone pop rock.

  • I have heard of Frosty flakes and have seen them before, but it's not sold anymore because of the sugar in it.

  • What are apple jacks?

  • beggo321: Apple Jacks are like Cheerios, but orange and apple cinnamon flavoured (some green pieces were added in the 1990s as well).

  • O I C thx u

  • Where is the the cron pops person in this ad?? Wheres popy

  • This was before my time, but I can't stress enough how much fun cereal commercials used to be.

How often do you see a commercial today where you actually want to go out and buy some damn cereal?

  • i licked my mouth

  • Never heard of Apple Jacks.

  • how old are you?

  • I'm 24

  • how have u not heard of apple jacks???...u live in the US???

  • No I don't, I live in the UK.

  • Frosted Flakes are called "Frosties" over there, right?

  • Thats right.

  • Don't recognize the elephant. Curse my young bones!

Smacks is the nastiest cereal it's ever been my misfortune to have in my mouth. I like Apple Jacks and Frosted Flakes though.

  • I wish they still made commercials like this.

  • I wish they still made commercials like this.

  • I'm guessing that this is the American advert.

I'm trying to find UK Kellogs adverts! lol

  • I'm trying to find Australian Kellogs ads!And there isn't a lot here on Youtube.

  • Would this be a Saturday Morning TV ad? I may remember this ad showing on Puerto Rican TV and it also came with a "Sponsor by" 15 second teaser with the Kelloggs characters. Anyone remembers those?

  • Kewl. I want to see an old Frosted Rice ad with Tony's son. I faintly remember at least one of those ads.

  • i remember watching this commercial! brings back memories. my favorite character was the elephant from cocoa krispies his name is tusk.

  • Kings should rerun this ad,but the Cocoa Krispies and Frosted Rice are now under the Snap Crackle Pop family I should say Frosted Krispies

  • Very good part of starti' your mornin...

I checked the ingredients listing. Smacks: First ingredient?

    Sugar!

    Kids love it.

  • what when she eats the cereal she looks like she dont like them.....lol

  • Cute just plain cute

  • did I heard weird Al in this?

  • Oh what great and simple memories of childhood.

  • Best cereal commercial ever. Last time I tried eating Apple Jacks though I ended up vomiting real bad. I mean the cereal was so nasty to me that it made me puke.

  • i have a Dig Em plush that I sent money for from a ad on the box. It's awsome and so is this commercial!

  • Sadly, of the characters seen in this commercial, we're missing Tusk and Tony Jr. ...both of whom were influential in pitching Kellogg's Krispies cereals (Cocoa Krispies and Frosted Rice, respectively).

  • Oh come on, how can sugar be the bad word, I hear the word sugar all the time, how can sugar be the bad word?

  • I believe eyeh8cbs is referring to how Kellogg's dropped "sugar" from the names of some of their cereals a few years later.

  • wats better kelloggs or genril mills ur choice!

  • I just laugh at this cartoon, especially Sunny (the sun for Rasin Bran)

  • Kellogg's Frosted Flakes

    Kellogg's Rice Krispies

    Kellogg's Sugar Corn Pops

    Kellogg's Cocoa Krispies

    Kellogg's Sugar Smacks

    Kellogg's Frosted Rice

    Kellogg's Froot Loops

    Kellogg's Raisin Bran

    Kellogg's Apple Jacks

I remember them all in the 1980-1981 Campaign with the slogan It's Gonna Be a Great Day!

  • I remember all the Kellogg's Cereals from the list

    Kellogg's Frosted Flakes

    Kellogg's Frosted Rice

    Kellogg's Sugar Smacks

    Kellogg's Sugar Corn Pops

    Kellogg's Froot Loops

    Kellogg's Raisin Bran

    Kellogg's Apple Jacks

    and there you have it!

  • I love that slogan for Kellogg's was It's Gonna Be a Great Day!

  • I'll bet you didn't know that this jingle was based on the song, "Great Day", by Billy Rose and Edward Eliscu, which was performed by Barbra Streisand in the movie, "Funny Lady".

  • This is from 1979, not 1980-1981.

The Cocoa Krispies elephant is named Tusk.

  • What a great commercial... I vaguely remember this from my childhood. The elephant, by the way, was named Tusk! Tusk! Also, the sun represented Raisin Bran, and Tony Jr was the spokestiger for Frosted Rice.

  • are you going to put this on stage 6?

  • Yeah, hopefully by the end of today- still have to convert it to Divx format first. It's on Google Video already, I usually do those 2 first then Stage6. Might have to start putting stuff on Broadcaster or Megavideo too, at least the stuff that's in stereo. Haven't had much time lately, but doing a few things tonight.
