Whatever became of the porcupine from Corn Pops and the monkey from Cocoa Krispies?
Sad how Apple Jacks never had a decent cartoon mascot? I'd suggest a skateboarding jackrabbit named A.J. or something—not two crudely drawn, stick figure kids on the box.
Awesome! At 1:11-1:14, I remember Tony Jr. from Frosted Rice and Tusky from Cocoa Krispies! But Kellogg's decided to make these cereals a part of Rice Krispies. Snap, Crackle and Pop put these characters out of work! LOL! Thanks for posting!
Would this be a Saturday Morning TV ad? I may remember this ad showing on Puerto Rican TV and it also came with a "Sponsor by" 15 second teaser with the Kelloggs characters. Anyone remembers those?
Best cereal commercial ever. Last time I tried eating Apple Jacks though I ended up vomiting real bad. I mean the cereal was so nasty to me that it made me puke.
Sadly, of the characters seen in this commercial, we're missing Tusk and Tony Jr. ...both of whom were influential in pitching Kellogg's Krispies cereals (Cocoa Krispies and Frosted Rice, respectively).
I'll bet you didn't know that this jingle was based on the song, "Great Day", by Billy Rose and Edward Eliscu, which was performed by Barbra Streisand in the movie, "Funny Lady".
What a great commercial... I vaguely remember this from my childhood. The elephant, by the way, was named Tusk! Tusk! Also, the sun represented Raisin Bran, and Tony Jr was the spokestiger for Frosted Rice.
Yeah, hopefully by the end of today- still have to convert it to Divx format first. It's on Google Video already, I usually do those 2 first then Stage6. Might have to start putting stuff on Broadcaster or Megavideo too, at least the stuff that's in stereo. Haven't had much time lately, but doing a few things tonight.
Adorable^^ I love Kelloggs commercials^^

it continues to this day, only they got rid of Tony Jr and gave the gig to SNAP, CRACKLE & POP.
