Lived there for six years and GLAD I am gone. This town is run by old fogeys and don't want to spruce the town up! They don't want to sell liquor there yet they flock to the next county and stock up on the booze! I don't get it!!! I used to enjoy Athens when I was a kid. It was so quiet. But I am staying true to my roots as a pure city girl.

I live in Garland, Texas now but i come back to Athens every year for this thing. It's just a really cool time that the town stops for a couple nights and everyone comes together to enjoy some music. I love Athens and despite its lack of things to do, its the best damn hometown one could ask for.

I used to attend this as a child and into my teenage years...I really enjoyed it. My grandfather is Walter Lyons(Guitar) and my uncle is Wynn Lyons(drums)...I live up north now. Make sure yall keep it going and enjoy it as much as I did growing up.
