A ghost floating in the void, seeing life happen, seeing the living live, seeing the living love, cannot be seen or acknowledged, unable to impact the world around him/her, a forever prison, a bad joke, an empty nothing.........
pouring a bowl of frosted flakes into your favorite cereal bowl and jamming the spoon into them with a satisfying crunch, then opening the fridge and finding out that there is only 3 drops of milk left in the jug and they smell bad.
runing around a park as a child and trying to catch a butterfly with a net, but i accidently kill the butterfly. and end up watching it die by the river where i tried to catch it. then i walk away back to teh park full of kids
I think now would be a good time to add that right after I posted my first comment, I turned off every light in my house, pressed play, turned off the computer screen, and laid down with my eyes closed on the floor (I live out in the country, so it's pretty quiet where I live). I swear.....I think I left Earth for three minutes and fifty-one seconds.
lol i live out there too and i was just thinking of doing something like that before i read your comment. My idea, either lay in the grass, or visit my little get away in the woods while its cloudy and listen to this. Little bit of wind, silence, and go slowly. Perfect.
I definitely agree with xironmaidenx, this song sounds exactly like the soundtrack to a dream.
they captured it perfectly, it feels like walking through a thick fog, trying to find someone as they call out your name...my words can't do justice to this kind of musical beauty, so i'll just stop now, close my eyes, and let this song roll over me.
I can´t help myself, but this song reminds me Pink Floyd little bit...the guitar in this song sounds me like pure Gilmour´s one...I take it as a positive thing cause I love PF, too.
Radiohead and Sigur Ros tied for my favorite band. I just recently got into Radiohead actually, and they are soooo good, but Sigur Ros is also amazing. Check them out if you haven't before.
When the guitar riff kicks in, you know how strong Radiohead can get... reminds me a bit of Where is my mind? of Pixies (only when the second guitar starts), notably at the end scene of Fight Club (Great movie BTW).
so fuckin beautiful ...their 2nd disc is a lot better than the first one ...im just sad cause we're not getting anymore radiohead albums in the near future :( we'll have to wait for some time until we get one

Ethereal, formless, consigned to an obscuring mist, dreaming of elysium, waking to purgatory. A dream of pulchritude; the gaunt prison of reality.

May I say that it's refreshing to hear people reflect on what the music makes them feel. It's like a gateway into you imagination.

I've never heard this radiohead song till now; but I can imagine a music video with blurry-slowmotion footage of a plane crash site.

You got it right man, blurry slowmotion! may be a little bit of Thom Yorke feeling the pain floating under water, cool!

Sigur Ros is fantastic.
Have you seen their film, "Heima"? If not, I'd highly suggest checking it out. It's captivatingly-gorgeous.
