  • details? Some of us have already passed 6th grade, and are ready for the big time. Governance? Laws? Restrictions? What are we really getting into here? It's hard to believe in a panacea.

  • the cloud suks

  • Thanks For Sharing

  • Oh No!!! All that difficult "Computery stuff" that's SO hard to figure out, like... servers... and... ram! Same old bullshit when it's time to brainwash the dumb masses to move in the desired direction.

Stay well AWAY from this latest step in the NWO plan to get their sticky fingers into even more of your privacy and freedoms. NOTHING nowadays is done for the benefit of the user, there is always an agenda.

Notice also the "measured access"? This equals more profit... and more control.

  • In 20 yars time Its predicted that we will be able to connect to another persons brain, online.

  • Fantastic example! and well explained too. Thanks!

  • Cloud computing explained: For all those computer illiterates out there instead of buying say..... an external hardrive you can now pay money to the cloud to store your data. If your a upcoming business instead of using boxes until you can afford a storage server you can now put all your personal info in the cloud!

  • Cloud computing is stupid!!! Cheap assholes just use your computer and configure Remote and you can access it anywhere. You can even install LogMeIn Free and access it anywhere in the world...even on your mobile phone!!! I wonder which scam artist came up with cloud computing and is hyping it up!!!

  • the question remains, how secure is it? who will "own" all that stored data?

  • Anybody that knows anything about computers will say fuck cloud computing. Trust me when this shit hits the market it will be so restricted in what u can do on the internet, you will be big brotherd by the cloud.

  • mate no thanks ...i like all my porn were i can see it.In my special folder on my pc hidden from the missus not in a 'Cloud'

  • Mobility Like most networks it allows users to connect even without their own computers, meaning you can do your work from anywhere. Check Nick Carr's video on Cloud: Creating Value Despite Commoditization

  • This is one of the only videos and well.. anything on the web that explained cloud computing simply enough! Thanks!

  • When I hear the word cloud in relation with any computer technology or terminology, I always think please go to hell with this freaking hype. I can't hear this cloud shit anymore.

  • Cloud computing may sound simple enough but it has more disadvantages than advantages latency, data security, No Server can provide outage free service ,restricted to the same platform etc. etc. ... IT companies aint that bigger idiots to switch over that easily.

  • Cloud computing is a great marketing term ripped off of the Network Engineers who drew clouds on diagrams because no one in IT could careless how the network worked or how much time and effort goes into running one. Now the sales guys walk around telling all those ignorant souls how great cloud computing is. Maybe you dumdums should have taken a bit more interest in all of those network diagrams, it could be saving your company oodles of bucks right now.

  • In a few years a new old trend:

    Forget the cloud!

Why use the cloud if you can work locally in your computer!

    Faster and it's all yours!!

  • @hukes because small buisnesses can use it so they don't need to buy servers but only server spots

  • @hukes I agree cloud computing is dumb and wast full trend and will not last long

  • @siekiersk why is it dumb?give me a few cons that says it will fail as a trend

  • @TheSniperofDeath cloud computing is dumb because its a gimmick technology , no one in there right mind would put anything important in "The cloud" apples icloud might actually work cause it's just music and music is stolen every day. your data would be more secure and safer. If you went and got a 2TB hard drive and a case and set it on your desk next to your computer. it cant be hacked or stolen. And if there sever crashes and all your data is lost then your just screwed. and they wont care

  • when you let a company worry about everything (hardware, software and subscriptions), that's when you get royally "clouded" in the arsehole.

smart people these days are getting solar panels to disconnect from the electrical companies "cloud" why? because it's much wiser doing a 1 time transaction for something, as opposed to paying a suscription to a bunch of greedy fucks that always find an excuse and a way to raise the suscriptions fees for anything.

  • @gabriel2099 True enough. It's not even about software. It's about the precious right to maybe appeal to their lawyers enough so that under certain circumstances, maybe just maybe they'll let you use their precious IP product. Although they retain all rights. In a way, it's just a modern electronic slavery model for today's virtual plantation. Slavery is freedom. Pay no attention to the big players who are here to help you. They are just good people trying to earn a hundred million/yr.

  • Cloud computing is a perfect example of taking something old and repackaging it to make it seem new. A loooong time ago "Cloud Computing" use to be called Mainframe Computing then people decided they would rather not have their private information on someone elses computer!

  • you should of blured the edges when you were crhoma keying this video

  • As I see it Cloud Computing from user's (physical person or service or any other agent) point of view is something that would monitor user's activities, create a profile of the user and try to keep applications, data and other resources that generate traffic as close as physically possible to where the user is located for him to use.

Move things closer to the point where they are going to be used most. That would reduce the traffic through the backbone network.

We would still need more servers.

  • This video explained very little.

I still don't see what is so new about "cloud computing". Seems to me that this technology has been around for a long time now, and certain companies are just branding it to make a buck.

  • @puppylinuxuser cloud computing has been around for over a decade.

  • Wooo... Some love CPU, RAM, even clock speeds. Clouds stop this

  • Can a company set up a social network using cloud? Would it be as reliable and as fast as a dedicated server?

  • I don't see no software in the clouds.

  • This was helpful. Thanks man!

  • This was helpful! Thanks man.

  • I think this is just one interpretation of cloud computing, which is 'pay as you go'

There is another on i have heard of, which is ' web based computing'. Just like gmail where all programs now run on the internet (cloud), and get automatic update.

so you dont worry about updates and managing.

Am I right, or I am confused?, i want to understand all this stuff .

  • Good work with this! thanks!

  • Nice.... :P

    Thank you for posting :D

    Fav and 5*!
