Im suppose to be writing an essay...Yeah right like thats going to happen now, im educationing my self about some of the greatest artists of all time. why cant we learn about this stuff in school. i would love writing an essay about this awesomeness.
Niki Sullivan, who wound up leaving the Crickets in 1957, died in 2004 in Missouri. He played a role in the Cricket's success before leaving. While recording "Peggy Sue", Buddy and the band was not satisfied with the sound of the record, Sullivan fiddled with Buddy's amplifier and the trademark guitar solo got put on the record.
Buddy Holly is truly a musical legend. Whether you love him or hate him. The mans from Texas. I personally don't like people from Texas. But Buddy has been places that nobody has in music. He' played for a short time. And he's more famous than anybody in the musical business. Props to Buddy.
@027220 Yeah I bought a book recently called "The Day the Music Died" by Larry Lehmer where Donna is interviewed and talks about that - look for the book on eBay or Amazon. Very interesting!
@LoserMillionaire And on part 5 of this, when ya see Gary put the Buddy glasses on it's like he almost doesn't need an audition for the role, which you can read in my review.
ever the gentleman Buddy has to be the one to shake Ed's hand, always saying thank you and yes sir in all the interviews I have heard, thank you for posting
JP Richardson (The Big Bopper) was so handsome. I love his eyes. Such a shame.

@VirgoGal74 What a 'loser.'
027220 4 months ago
@027220 Yeah, if you remember in "La Bamba" how much of a jerk he was. Just like the way Rose's mom treated Jack in "Titanic," lol
VirgoGal74 4 months ago
@VirgoGal74 I do, makes ya 'feel' like smacking him, And Rose's mom was dumb, Rose'd be 'dead' if not for Jack.
