im using an older 360 controller n im wondering if you have stumbled upon any useful sites? b/c im using an older circuit board n most sites are using new modules for examples like yours.
What about the Sync button? Is there anything special or different about it? Should I treat it as a regular button?
I've made one stick with a wired controller and had no problems.... but now I'm thinking about making a wireless one. I'm not worried about power, but the sync button is something that has raised a red flag.
hey, not too sure on the wired controllers. um... i guess you could try removing the carbon from both sides and seeing if one end is connected to the negative on the battery terminal. otherwise, just go for gold and solder each one.
DSE, sorry for the dumb question but is there a method to find out what type of pcb you have? So you can tell if you have a common ground. I've looked all over forums, and still haven't found any conclusive evidence. Thanks sir.
Yeah I read that whole page, guess I should've been more detailed. I have an xbox 360 'wired' controller. The page didn't help much =( I'm hoping the controller is common ground (got it about 2 years ago) but if not I'm fully prepared to do all the ground soders.

hey bud,
if you go to the first page in the forum link in the description of this video it will show you the way to tell the two controllers apart.
