  • it'd be great if I could actually see what you're doing

  • shes good!

  • Hay people if you dont like her then leave

  • Maybe she isn't an expert in the grooming and everything but maybe she's really good at riding & training horses.:D

  • ummm you talking about downward pressure isn't making my braids any prettier...

  • gosh! her again! she is everywhere!

  • My Horse has a split mane, not like it falls perfect, it looks like a waterfall, how do i braid that area, it's all good up until i come to the split, it flies everywhere. Anyone know what to do? Sorry for the bad description! It looks like a lion!

  • She's totally doing it wrong....:(

  • i hope that horse kicks her in the face onedayy(:

  • Well it helped me and if u think it is little don't watch it!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • um.. this helped very little.

  • w000000000000w if we already knew how to braid a horses mane we wouldnt hav to watch this! wut is it teaching us!? we cant c anything! thnxx 4 waisting 1:13 seconds of my time!!

  • @pony66360 actually it DOESN'T hurt the horse when you pull the horse's mane

  • we can't see her hands!

  • Um no,thats not how you do it.

  • @CCPezz it's a form of doin it and it looks good...there's no one right way of doing anything. my trainer does the exact same thing

  • this made no sense.

  • you dont want presure on your horses neck all day it will make them mean and aggresive. its jsut retarted to tell people that they want presure on their neck tight all the time. maby you sould learn a little more about horses.

  • this is my mums again (im 12 yo) she's not the camera man sooo not alot she could hve done : /

  • All you see are her tubby fingers and the horse's ears blocking what she doing.

  • She doesn't look like a expert horse rider

  • possibly because she's a makeup artist. ;)

  • @aherdoftwo that's her job, doesn't mean that she doesn't know anything about horses just because her living isn't working with them.

  • Her voice is annoying.

  • if you comb the mane very well it should reduce some of the pain but you should also try to be as gentle as you can to avoid as much pain and disscomfort as possible

  • you should aactually show how to braid the horse

  • it would work alot better if your horse was cross tied!

  • that depends on the horse, some hate cross ties...i've seen a lot of accidents from them and goofy horses lol i personally hate them-they make me nervous so i work in a stall for safety.

  • There have been accidents in stalls. The horse could ram you in the stall wall. (happened to me.)

  • Ive pulled manes on horses who couldnt care less, and others who were obviously in great pain. It goes both ways. Like people, horses' pain thresholds vary, but USUALLY horses dont care if you're pulling their mane. Personally I don't like how it looks so I dont do it to my own, but I have nothing against those who do, from plenty of personal experience.

  • Yes, it can cause discomfort, but not necessarily pain in the sense that your pulling it's mane out.

The only pain the horse could be caused is from you yanking his neck to the side all the time.

  • Pulling mane causes pain for one of my horses. I used to think it didn't hurt him until I had a friend ace him and pull his mane very short. Even aced he tried to strike out at me and knock her off the step stool. It was only then that I finally realized that it hurt him. There was tiny spots of blood all along the crest of his neck where the mane was pulled. Now I just use a plastic comb with a razor on one side that cuts it instead of pulling it. I get the same result but don't hurt my horse.

  • horses, for the most part, don't have a lot of pain receptor nerves in their manes which is why they say they don't feel pain when you pull their mane. but, like people, they do differ. its a pain in the butt to do so i'm with you...its best to let someone else do it lol i've never had to tho so i'm happy for that!

  • I've owned horses for a long time now, and yes pulling the mane does lead to discomfort - but it depends on the horse. My horse hates mane pulling, and I have to do a little bit over the course of a week or two, but some horses are more sensitive to it than others.

Banding shouldn't irritate a horse - unless the bands are left in too long and the mane gets dirty (kind of like if you left your hair in a tight pony tail over the period of a few days). Just take them out after the show :)

  • omg! im so sorry! that was my mate muckin about! i no know now that horses dnt have nerves in their main.. omg sorry :(

  • xJessiiiHunniii2k8x horses dont have mefves in there main. :)

  • uh jessihuniii are you on drugs or something? no one treated u as if u were stupid, but im sure people will start because you really do seem very stupid. When people answer you in a polite manner you should be decent enough to reply politely back. how were you raised??

  • doesnt that hurt the horse?

  • no...

  • no it doesnt, they have no nerves in their neck near the hair. and she wasnt being horrid.... o.0 she was just telling you they dont. If she was being rude she would go: OMG YOU DUM ASS!! NO IT DOESNT HURT!! HOW COULD YOU BE SO BLOODY STOOOPID!?!?!

    thats nasty. dont overreact.

  • lol. she deserved for her to have said that.

ps - that horse was SOOO good .

  • im sorry :( it was my mate mukinn about. sorry everyone i look soo stupid...

  • thx

  • Thanks for the tip! :)
