The Camellia Grill is GONE?!? When the frak did that happen? God damn...another New Orleans tradition lost. Great video, though; I actually used to work at the place shown at 2:55 (Graffiti Graphics), in my very first post-college job (LSU class of '85).
@CajunGypsy Camellia Grill was 'not dere no more' at the rime of this video. It has since been restored but that video was yanked by Utube for copyright violations. Oooops. =)
Glad I am not the only one. My family founded and ran Manuel's hot tamales. I grew up on the other side of the window, playing with legos while my uncles handed out tamales.
Way'at y'all! I'm STILL here! I miss da ol' K&B on Oak and Carrollton. Gonna pass by Cooters and Camillia Grill tomorrow... just a few blocks away. :-D
I wish I could travel back in time and record the whole metro area before katrina hit so I would always remember how things were before Aug 29 05 in NOLA

That's all Jefferson Parish, what about the real part of the city, Orleans Parish?
Joshuaguss 2 years ago
All of that was not JP. A good portion of it was Orleans Parish
BTW, this was done in 2007. Since then, some stuff is back like,
Camellia Grill. It has re-opened and is better than ever. Best Burgers in the city.

I wish New Orleans was back to the city when I was a kid.

It's the people, not the buildings.

@atworkstation Me too. I miss alot of stuff in New Orleans. Especially the Projects and the RTA buses that they had in the lower 1990s.
