You should study history instead of reading only factious Anglo-American papers (who win, its's always the "good" isn't it?). Erwin Rommel (German Field Marshal, if you don't know) said this sentence about Italian soldiers:

Mussolini should have been arrested and held for trial to face legal execution. The partisans involved were nothing but murderers. Perhaps had they merely killed Mussolini it might have been forgivable considering the horrors of the German occupation, but they slaughtered his mistress for no reason whatsoever. I have no respect for them
