@beth417 or they're completely jealous that they're not taking classes or lessons. I just started taking Adult skating classes (ISI) a few months ago, and LOVE it. It's very challenging, but I love those moments when things suddenly "click."

No matter where this child takes her skating this is so good for children. Learning coordination, concentration, confidence, life long appreciation for the arts and exercise. I am so happy to see that a coach has taught this little one to concentrate on basics, and she is learning them quite well.

It's not a spin. It's called a forward pivot. It's usually used for beginners to enter a two foot spin. :) Hope I helped.

I FEEL so embarrased! i am learning how 2 figure skate noww, and im 12. I know how 2 skate very good, but i cant do awsome tricks like that! and there are 7 year olds at my rink, who skate like olympians! What should i do! im Sooo embarrased!

trust me, i have some little ones that can do double axels at my rink! just ignore them, they arent trying to be intimidating. do your higher tricks and the'll leave you alone. but dont feel embarrassed, look confident, they remember the days when they couldn't skate very well! hope this helped!

dont be! Im 15 and there are lots of girls like that as well! keep practicing and you will be as good as them but try to be the skater YOU can be.

I sometimes feel the same way but dont be discouraged.
