swap it for a pdw or semi auto. from the carrier you have the ability to alert everyone of aircraft movement, sniper activity of most of the high positions and vehicle/infantry movement of the whole beach, if you manage to make a kill from this distance then its a bonus and you could ask the question, how many of your teams positions and lives would of been comprimised if you didnt make the sighting and maybe a kill? dont forget, from there it doesnt make you immune to getting..>

there are alot of comments and speculations that can be made from watching this clip, negative or positive, yes from the carrier you have limited vision when it comes to seeing what is happening on the ground in the built up areas of the map, but to see that you would have to be there, which isnt ideal for a sniper/recon unless you are wanting to take up said role of providing spawn points and close detection with tugs, in which case you wouldnt even carry a bolt action rifle and would..

@sobekflakmonkey its not sniper, its recon. and the answer is in the title. you must spot people, u must provide spawn points for your team. that kill was probably the only kill he made. and it doesnt show us how many attempts were done before that. and to be frank once you have shot once to see the bullet drop, unless the target moves, its very easy to do something like that.

@sobekflakmonkey its rediculous how u believe your perception of a sniper in real life is actually truth. aside from that, he killed another sniper on that building. a stationary target. he has no view of the actual place where action is happening so he cant spot or kill any other people. and its one thing to hit a still target, another sniper. its another thing to hit a moving target. and how many people aside from snipers do you see, that are standing still in this game?

@Ryztor yeah, but those snipers who are running around get fucked up, by people like me, who play roles like assault or engineer, thats why its good for a sniper just to hang around, and try to pick people off from a far, and yeah, in the real world, snipers dont run around in the middle of the battlefield trying to get "kills" and "capture points", I know this, because I know quite a few people who are and were in the military for a while, so yes, i would know this.

@sobekflakmonkey again your answer is as if i told you that what a player playing recon should behave like assault. or that actual snipers do something like that. ( a sniper wouldnt compromise his position to kill just one soldier btw) and i didnt say that a sniper shouldnt hang around as u say. but he would help the team more if he hanged at 200-300 meters rather than more than a kilometer away, where his only view of the battefield is the rooftops.

watch the vid long range kill, its all about range finding, firing 1 shot at the beginning of holding your breath so that you can watch where it lands on your scope then adjust accordingly, unfortunately uploaded 1080p on youtube isnt as clear as 1080p in game so its hard to see properly :)
