i like these videos.. we need some thing like this badly in Minnesota.. especially in farm area..

I wouldn't mind being the guy behind the camera, anyway i think it would help if they get a better camera, one that is more clear picture wise like HD and able to zoom in more.. but I know the states is not going to dish out any funds for some thing like that, heck the hide of the decoy , had to be donated.. that's how cheap the state is hehehe.

Missouri has a real big problem with road hunters, if you look at the dates on these videos that's from roughly the normal firearm deer season here in Missouri, however shooting from the road is illegal here in Missouri also as well as trespassing.

haha stupid asses thats funny i have seen a couple dnr deer even tho thats how most poeple used to hunt back in 89. thats how my grandpa learned how to hunt. but they are really started to crack down on shooting out the window or shooting from the road

Actually its not poaching if it is in season, its road hunting (which drives me crazy when your sitting all day and rain and see the same car drive around in circles all day). And you usually get to keep the deer (if its real) and just get fined. In PA if you get 25yds off of the road it is legal. You still can get it for locating wildlife with a vehicle though.

@jwdundon A person is 'entrapped' when he is induced or persuaded by law enforcement officers or their agents to commit a crime that he had no previous intent to commit; they placed the decoy there they did not go to him and say hey why don't you shoot that deer. He went out with the intent of shooting an animal they merely provided a target. No entrapment here.

Doing something illegal is a choice Not Entrapment. The people made a choice to do something illegal and unethical. I say burn them all! It's a holes like this that drive around our farm and take away trophy deer from honest ethical hunters that have put alot of time and effort into hunting. Great work for the DNR!!!!

I don't like this idea. Yeah, they are catching poachers, but it's like the cops who drive nice cars and bait people at stop lights to race...then arrest them when they do. Who knows how many of those men would never have poached a deer if this one hadn't been put there for bait? But overall, I'd say it's worthwhile.
