Also, remember that rubber bullets are "less lethal" not "non-lethal". The can still kill you, yet they use them BEFORE any sign of violence. I really think they want to just hurt people to use their shiny gear.

I swear, many cops are just like immoral soldiers at war, salivating, dreaming, just waiting for a moment to pull a trigger so they can brag and slap asses with other cops in the shower, feeling big and bad....

as a vet, I was saddened to see how many dishonorable troops there are, and how they are praised by their units, and I have seen many leave to become cops/sheriffs/state dicks. There is quite a good possibility every larger police force has a murderer in their midst.

...No. Not whenever you didn't do so safely by applying for a permit. It's not like they'd just shut you down for the permit if you have good reasons either. You want to really have a peaceful protest and make a well thought out statement, then you just have to ask and they'll clear you a spot. Just like Ravenstahl did. And you can just go there, and your voice will be heard just as well as it would be in Oakland...where it really wasn't heard unless you CAUSED VIOLENCE.
