Pricing of inks, screen print machine, business licenses etc. Also what would you recommend for a screen print machine as far as brand and how many colors. Thanks for all your help!
@caine198831 That’s not an easy question to answer in a comment. It really depends on what you want to print and your budget as well as your end goals. I’ll message you on this. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠

im trying to design a sweater with a picture. im seeing all this different types of transfer paper, which one looks the most high quality? or can i buy vinyl heat transfer paper print the image from my printer then heat press it? honestly i just want the image to look high quality. or i was thinking of doing a digital print at a local walgreens then using normal transfer paper..would that work?
@SuperSunshine90210 If you want high quality then heat transfers are probably not going to suffice. I do not work with digital heat transfers commercially. I am a direct screen printer. Therefore I would not know which heat transfer paper to recommend for best results. Ultimately plastisol heat transfers are the best. But they have to be preprinted or you can purchase stock designs. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠
@acidhouse1988 No I'm sorry I don't have any jobs available. Don't you screen print any signs? Most of the sign makers I know do some screenprinting. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠
@CatspitProductions No man i dont have any Screen printing facilities at my business ive just a roland sp300 printer and a vinyl plotter does the job but want to build on my skills have had this business for 4 years now and need to move on in the industry.
@acidhouse1988 I see; well screenprinting signs is actually one of the cheapest applications you can start with. The biggest hurdle to overcome is exposing oversized screens. But much of the printing can be done on simple flat tabletop setups or semi-automatic graphic presses. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠

what is your best way of creating t shirts for beginners either heat pressing or screen printing or if there is any other way that i dont know since am new to this. great videos by the way really informative .
@BountyHunterNK That depends on how much money you want to spend to get started. And how much work you want to put into it. And how much space you have to work in too. Heat transfers are cheaper to get started and easier to learn to do but have many limitations in their abilities for different transfer processes and products. Glad you like my videos, very cool. Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠
@msacarnell If you mean size, that all depends on the size of the shirt, men’s or ladies, and what you are printing. Normally, I’ll print the same size design for the size shirts you mentioned. Ladies shirts I tend to print a bit smaller of a design. Men’s tend to be as big as possible for the location and design. Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠
hi!!! sir i'm from Philippines and planning to start a small business on t shirt printing... through my internet surfing i cross to your you tube show... what exactly the name of that green your placing/pasting on that silk screen..
@xenahs Not exactly sure what you mean. The clear thing with the dragon on it is the film positive. The stuff in the screen that makes the stencil is emulsion. Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠

@XxXLuisanXxX You have to use a textile screen printing ink and it needs to be cured properly or it will wash out. Any type of film positive will work but not all clear films work in all computer printers. I ship outside the US depending on what you want to purchase. Shirts are heavy and can be expensive to ship if that is what you are asking. Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠

thanks for the very informative vids, others that i saw were are hard to understand...
just wanna ask a question, i've trying to transfer patterns on the screen, but when its time to wash the screen, the fine details wash out also, and the edges aren't that defined. is it a problem on the exposing time?. or the mixture of the emulsion and sensitizer? the spreading of the emulsion is even enough, and isn't that thick in my opinion,.. thanks for your time!
@vin000000 Thank you, that’s great to hear. This problem could be caused by many variables. I’ll message you on it. Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠
Wow, this is a really informative explanation! I didn't understand written explanations so looked for a video alternative, and this was perfect! Thank you very much :D

Hey dude, I'm from Philippines, I like this video so much, I've been searching for video to get some information or demo to satisfy my needs on how to print a t shirt. I like the way you explained the whole process. Thanks a lot!
This is awsome stuff very informative and educational. I've learned a lot from this video and others on your channel. Great stuff you're doing here. Keep up the wonderful work. My channel is watching! Thanks.
Great video you have here. I have a a lil question. is it the light of the UV or the heat of it affects the how the emulsion reacts to the screen? hope to hear from you. thanks.
@amildionisio Thank you! It is the UV light that cures emulsion in an exposure unit. But excessive heat can also cure emulsions. Heat is uncontrollable and will ruin your stencil. Only the UV light should be curing the emulsion with your film positive. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks for replying fast. I got a follow up question though, how many watts I should need for me to have my screen show the image? or is there a computation or formula (lack of a better term)? Sorry for asking a lot of questions. Thanks again. =)
@amildionisio No problem, it’s my pleasure to help out. I think I would recommend using at least a 500 watt work lamp if you are not going to use industrial black light bulbs. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@MCR4lifexlotty You are welcome! It is my pleasure to help out. I appreciate you taking the time to say thanks. That means a lot. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@freeflyva No problem… See the video called “How To Screen Print: The Flash Cure Unit & Options For Home”. It will give you a good idea for choices. Check out all my videos from the channel page. Lots of cool screen printing videos. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@GeneralLee1973 This video is for newbies…LOL. I’m not sure how much simpler or more descriptive I can get. Most all of my videos are intended for beginners. You should be able to learn a lot from them. If you are having trouble, watch the video again and message me with your questions. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I just needed to watch a few times b4 i got the hang of it, and many fellow posters have been emailing me over the weekend lending help, appreciate it everyone,
@GeneralLee1973 Cool, I’m glad you’re getting some help here. Let me know if I can help out any further. Thanks so much for your support. I appreciate that!
Billy gave me a lead to Bulk Shirts Warehouse and I was able to get a pretty good starter pack of 50 white tees, UNDER 2bux a piece, I was able to choose my brand too, so i will keep you guys posted. If I can sell em for $10 a piece I'll be moving a few hundred a weekend
@lilmzthunda yeah, I would recommend setting the exposure time for at least 12 minutes maybe more. I'm not an expert but in my experience, when the image is properly exposed you should be able to see a faint ghost of the image thats' LIGHTER than the rest of the emulsion. Then you know its ready to wash out.
@meddefecca Yes, very true. The artwork will show as a latent image which will appear lighter or a different shade from the rest of the cured emulsion. Uncured emulsion is water soluble, so wetting the screen down and letting it stand for a minute before you start washing out should help make the stencil come out easier. Thanks for your input! I appreciate your support.
@passkubalon It turned out that the sunlight was curing the screen as they went to wash it out. They must be using a very fast emulsion because I have had to wash mine out in the shade outside and never had any problems. Maybe they were in direct sunlight. That would be no good. Thanks for your input!
@lilmzthunda It’s hard to tell what’s going on there but make sure your film positives are dense and black. Also make sure the light source is strong enough to cure emulsion evenly without cooking it with heat. Good luck, feel free to ask questions anytime!
@lilmzthunda Yes it is. It is very slow when liquid but I work in yellow or red light when handling my emulsion and screens ready to expose. It just eliminates any possibility if “fogging”. Your exposure time will depend on your emulsion, film and light source. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@ryleyrobert123 I think it is easier to buy a small belt dryer than it is to make one but you can search my Favorites list for a couple of videos that do show homemade belt dryers. You can also search YouTube with that phrase and I’ll bet you will find more videos about this. Thanks for watching & commenting!
how larger is your mesh for example ? and btw i don't live in usa so idk from where to buy this kind mesh ? i mean at what kind of store i find polyester/nylon mesh :d
@xoxoYouKnowYouLoveM3 I use many different mesh counts depending on the print job. You can purchase screen printing mesh from many online suppliers. Just Google “screen printing mesh” and you should find a plethora of vendors with e-stores. Or Google “screen print suppliers”, that will work too. Good luck! Thanks for watching & commenting!
@THENISTIK760 Actually, I do not screen print hats currently. They can be printed on a hat press or you can often find pallets for t shirt presses on which you can print hats. I embroider all my hat jobs. To me, embroidery is the way to go on hats. Thanks for watching & commenting!
@kittylover143 I don’t think acrylic paint is good to use for this particular screen printing method. Plastisol inks are used with this process. Check out my website for more great information about screen printing inks. Thanks for watching & commenting!
@AnimatorsUnighted Most often it is not. RIP software may help but the best computer generated films are from inkjet printers with RIP, thermal imagers or image setters. There are a lot of options for film output. Thanks for watching & commenting!
@baby287girl I would use a dual cure which will be forgiving for poor film positives and weaker light sources. The exposure will be longer but the lattitude will make it easier for you. Check out my website and visit my sponsors site. Give him a call and he will be more than happy to help you out. Tell him I sent you. Thanks for watching & commenting!

@charms050788 That would be Textil PV but I use Graphic PS2 Blue now. You can find these products and more at a 5 to 15% discount on the Print Supplies p[age of the Catspit website. The link is on the channel page. I don’t know of any alternative chemicals to use unless you try to make your own emulsion. Good luck. Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠

what is your best way of creating t shirts for beginners either heat pressing or screen printing or if there is any other way that i dont know since am new to this. great videos by the way really informative .
BountyHunterNK 7 months ago
@BountyHunterNK That depends on how much money you want to spend to get started. And how much work you want to put into it. And how much space you have to work in too. Heat transfers are cheaper to get started and easier to learn to do but have many limitations in their abilities for different transfer processes and products. Glad you like my videos, very cool. what type of artwork should I print for average adult shirts S, M L, I am using the same size screen as in the vid. Thanks
msacarnell 7 months ago
@msacarnell If you mean size, that all depends on the size of the shirt, men’s or ladies, and what you are printing. Normally, I’ll print the same size design for the size shirts you mentioned. Ladies shirts I tend to print a bit smaller of a design. Men’s tend to be as big as possible for the location and design. Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠

@xenahs Not exactly sure what you mean. The clear thing with the dragon on it is the film positive. The stuff in the screen that makes the stencil is emulsion. Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠

what happens if I can't cure, due to lack of resources, the shirt after inking it?
will any ink work?
also, will any transparency work?
And last! Do you guys ship outside the U.S.?
Sorry I asked so much :D i'm really interested
XxXLuisanXxX 8 months ago

Great video you have here. I have a a lil question. is it the light of the UV or the heat of it affects the how the emulsion reacts to the screen? hope to hear from you. thanks.
amildionisio 1 year ago

CatspitProductions 1 year ago
@lilmzthunda yeah, I would recommend setting the exposure time for at least 12 minutes maybe more. I'm not an expert but in my experience, when the image is properly exposed you should be able to see a faint ghost of the image thats' LIGHTER than the rest of the emulsion. Then you know its ready to wash out.
meddefecca 1 year ago
@meddefecca Yes, very true. The artwork will show as a latent image which will appear lighter or a different shade from the rest of the cured emulsion. Uncured emulsion is water soluble, so wetting the screen down and letting it stand for a minute before you start washing out should help make the stencil come out easier. Thanks for your input! I appreciate your support.

@CatspitProductions Any time man, any time. Thanks for the great vids

CatspitProductions 1 year ago
@lilmzthunda Some light boxes can take up to 12 minutes to bake the image. Second, are you using a high pressure device to blow the burned image?
passkubalon 1 year ago
@passkubalon It turned out that the sunlight was curing the screen as they went to wash it out. They must be using a very fast emulsion because I have had to wash mine out in the shade outside and never had any problems. Maybe they were in direct sunlight. That would be no good. Thanks for your input!
CatspitProductions 1 year ago
@CatspitProductions yeah, that sun will do it!
passkubalon 1 year ago
@lilmzthunda It’s hard to tell what’s going on there but make sure your film positives are dense and black. Also make sure the light source is strong enough to cure emulsion evenly without cooking it with heat. Good luck, feel free to ask questions anytime!
CatspitProductions 1 year ago
@lilmzthunda Yes it is. It is very slow when liquid but I work in yellow or red light when handling my emulsion and screens ready to expose. It just eliminates any possibility if “fogging”. Your exposure time will depend on your emulsion, film and light source. Thanks for watching and commenting!

were could u get a cheap dryer to buy or is it possible to make ur own .
ryleyrobert123 1 year ago
@ryleyrobert123 I think it is easier to buy a small belt dryer than it is to make one but you can search my Favorites list for a couple of videos that do show homemade belt dryers. xoxoYouKnowYouLoveM3 1 year ago
