Hey man this sounds great. I wanted to ask you, what is your opinion on the issue of tone suckage? Everyone is saying that the Boss choruses are noted for this, but it sounds ok to me. How does yours do?

I wouldnt say Ive had a problem with tone sucking from this pedal. Im not a huge an of the pedal however, I prefer to use my tc electronic chorus

Nice demo, as usual. I have a CE-5 and I agree...nice range of tones, but sterile sounding. I may need to try the Keeley. Question: have you guys tried the TC Electronic Nova System (the "all in one" unit? Any opinions?).

The other guys in the band have the g-forc and the g-major rack systems. I own the G-Natural acoustic system, nova delay, nova reverb and nova modulator. so we are big tc fans. i hav only had a very brief go of a nova system, it sounded fantastic. i have 2 pro session player friends who both use it routinely and rave about it, so it must be good.

I probably wouldnt buy either again if they were stolen. I have a few other units I prefer. TC Electronic Chorus and Delays are good. There r a pile of other units out there, look beyond Boss.

ok, for starters, Do NOT get the dd-3. I have the DD-7, it works almost like a dream. and its only like 20$ more, in places. But Yea, its very usefull to me in my Board , as for the ce-5, i don't know i don't own one

Its the Kind Controller dude.  Its the amp ,controller, changes channels, turns reverb on/off, fx loop etc

Great sound and playing. No offense, but I think it's funny when people don't want to give out the tabs to their song. Any decent player could figure out what you are doing without tabs, so I don't think you're in serious danger giving out tabs---but it's just my opinion, to each his own. Thanks for the demo.

We dont have tabs to our songs, hence we have no tabs to give out. Why would we tab our songs? we kno how to play them. I dont see why people should give out tabs, we hav already taken the time to make videos to help people with gear, I dont feel we HAVE to produce tabs for other people aswell.

This section of the song is fairly straightforward yes, but some of our other stuff is rather complex becoz we have 3 guitarists, so would be very time consuming to tab out.

Neither in my opinion dude. There r better chorus pedals on the market. Have alook at the Keeley Electronics CH1 its awesome. The new TC Electronic Nova Modulation has some nice chorus tones. And the T-Rex chorus is lovely.

Eeerm, its alright. I wouldnt buy another one if I lost it tho. It does sound sterile and digital, but sometimes thats what ur looking for. It does cover a side rande of chorus sounds in one pedal. I would probably look towards a TC Electronic or T-Rex pedal in future. Defo go try it out and see what u make of it urself. Ideally A/B switch it between the CH-1 and CE-5 and any other chorus pedal at your local store.

if you do one of these pedals through an effects loop (or any effect like this, obviously), if i have it on and save it to the channel preset, go to another channel, and go back to the original, will it still be on there? and will it stay on when i go to the other channel?

I am not really sure what u mean dude. The fx loop is purely an input into the signal path after the amps pre amp and before its power amp. So the pedal will work exactly the same way it would if you pluued it into the amps input, only difference is it will be in effect at a different point on the guitar signal chain.

I use the fx loop for modulation effects, delays, reverbs etc as they are in effect after the pre amp the effects sound cleaner.

Thanks for comment. In my band there r 3 guitarist, and the section of the song 'Napoleon Complex' which is played here has a three part clean section, so adding some chorus to this part seperates it from the other two.

Sometimes, when ur band has 3 guitarists (or even 2) u have to change ur tones for the better of the total sound as opposed to the individual guitar tone. If you've ever done any recording u should kno this.

I liek the CE-5 more, but there wasnt alot of difference in them to be honest.

Power wise my Gig Rig Pro14 powers all my pedals via the Gig Rig Power Generator. I have a few little 5 output ACDC power banks that I use when I am messing about, like in this video.

Read the video descriptions dude, everything is almost alwyas listed there. Those two pedals are a Boss RV-5 Reverb and a Boss DD-3 Digital Delay. Ther eis also an SMF Ego Booster pedal which isnt used in this vid.
